Product Evolution

Product has been discussed for many years and we have now been able to engineer a product for the Marketplace

Advantech has now launched and delivered our Entry Level Discovery hub product

This is potentially very lucrative market with all the license and feature upgrades that can be sold No hardware upgrades required

Same basic features as our other hub products but to reduce the price to a low target price, it is fully functional and enables end user to define which options he wants

Discovery Hub Main Elements

• RLS100 - 1 RU Return Link Subsystem – RLSS Processor allows up to 500 terminals to be supported – MCD 2.0 enables up to 96 RL carriers and 24 Mbps of throughput

• FLS100 - 1 RU Forward Link Subsystem – Includes Advantech field proven IP Encapsulator (IPE-422) and DVB-S2

Modulator (SBM-75e) – Throughput of up to 155 Mbps

• IPS100 - 1 RU IP Subsystem and Timing Unit – Includes Layer 3 router and Timing Unit that replaces GPS (optional)

• NMS100 – 1 RU NMS and Control Server – Includes NMS and Control Server

• Ethernet Switch and IF Panel

• PDU – Power Bar

License upgrades are all software controlled and require no additional hardware required Number of Terminals Supported

Maximum number of terminals is 500 Available in blocks of 50 terminals

Return Link (RL) Capacity Maximum RL throughput of 24 Mbps Available in blocks of 4 RL carriers with aggregate throughput of 2 Mbps Up to 7 additional blocks If 7 additional blocks purchased the MCD is opened for 96 carriers and up to 24 Mbps of throughput

Forward Link Capacity Maximum FL throughput of 155 Mbps Available in blocks of 5 Mbps FL block upgrades up to 7 additional blocks
