Day 1 Arrival Colombo
Day 2 Colombo / Habarana
Dambulla Cave Temple. Dambulla is a magnificent rock temple consists of 5 caves, on a hill 340 m
high, containing 150 serene statues of Buddha, numerous carvings & murals. The fascinating &
memorable site was founded by King Valagambahu during the 1st century BC in gratitude for the
shelter he found in the caves during an invasion by marauding Dravidians from southern India.
Thereafter proceed to Hotel afternoon Jeep safari in Minneriya National Park the 8890 hectares of
MINNERIYA NATIONAL PARK is an ideal eco tourism location in Sri Lanka. The park consists of mixed
evergreen forest and scrub areas and is home to Sri Lanka's favorites such as sambar deer, leopards
and elephants. (25min from Habarana).

After breakfast leave for Sigiriya (30min drive) climb Sigiriya rock fortress, the Lion Rock Citadel, Sigiriya
was the Royal Citadel of King Kasayapa who ruled in The 05th Century A.D. Moats, Terrace Gardens,
water Gardens, Fountain Garden, Boulder Gardens & Stone Stairways and the beautiful ancient frescos
of heavenly maidens in a pocket of the rock, on the top of rock are ruins of the palace & two intact man
– made pools of water.
Village Tour – At the start Traveling by bullock cart thorough typical dry Zone village then get on to
traditional village boat for boat ride in the lake running through the village and get into their paddy fields
& cultivation lands and experience how farmers working there and thereafter having Typical Sri Lankan
village lunch serve by Banana or Nelum leaf in side of mud house and at last walking through the
village to start point while experience the Village life.
Afternoon proceeds to Polonnaruwa (01 hour) - Polonnaruwa was the second capital of Sri Lanka after
the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993. In its time, a 6 km rampart protected the city. Even during the
time when Anuradhapura was the capital Polonnaruwa was an important city because it strategically
commanded all the crossings over the Mahaveli River and acted as a buffer against the invading
armies. It comprises, besides the Brahmanic monuments built by the Cholas, the monumental ruins of
the fabulous garden-city created by Parakramabahu I in the 12th century.

Day 3 Habarana / Sigiriya / Village Tour / Habarana
After breakfast drive to Kandy (04 hours) en route visit spice gardens in Matale which grows spices and
herbs used for Sri Lankan cuisine and medication. Spices of Sri Lanka attracted the early sea-faring
merchants who made the long voyages to purchase this precious merchandise.
Reach to Kandy hotel check in and refresh at hotel in Kandy, two days leisure and sightseeing in Kandy.

Sightseeing in Kandy city - Visit Art and Crafts centre and Gem Bureau, view a documentary film too on
how Sri Lankan Gem mining is traditionally done. Visit the The Holy Temple of the Tooth of the Buddha
(01 hrs spend) This temple, the most important one for the Sri Lankan Buddhists was built in the 16th
Century A.D. solely for the purpose of housing the tooth relic. Enjoy a typical Sri Lankan Cultural Show
of Drumming, Dancing & music.
Pinnawala Elephant orphanage (01 hour drive from Kandy) - This orphanage is situated in Rambukkana
northwest of the town in Kegalla. It was established 1975 by the Sri Lanka wildlife department, this 24
acres large elephant orphanage is a also breeding for elephants the first elephant baby was born in
1984 and it has the greatest herd elephants in captivity in the world, Between 1975 and 2012, 67 animals
were born here.
Peradeniya Botanical Garden (10 min drive) - were originally conceived in 1371 as the queens pleasure
garden, later becoming the residence of a Kandyan king the 60 hector park was were converted into a
botanical garden with extensive well kept lawns, pavilions an orchid house with an outstanding
collection, an Octagon conservatory fernery bank of bamboo and numerous flower bed with cannas,

After breakfast take to railway station to catch the 08.40am train to travel Nanu oya. This train ride go
through the Tea Plantation and this train route considered most spectacular and beautiful rail routes,
hugging Narrow Mountain passes with views of mountain ranges and waterfalls (Reach to Nanu oya
railway station 12.45pm).
Pick up from Nanu oya railway station and drive to Nuwara Eliya two days sightseeing and leisure at
Colonial city.

Day 6 Kandy / Nuwara Eliya

Sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya city, Known as "Little England" to be greeted by the fresh wintry
atmosphere, the cottage type bungalows and the colonial air. City tour in Nuwara Eliya: we drive through
the town of Nuwara Eliya observing the well-maintained buildings of colonial Architecture. Busy market,
Lake Gregory, vegetable cultivation, tea plantations nearby in Nuwara Eliya.
Day excursion to Horton plan (01hrs drive) Horton plan National Park to reach the escarpment before the
mist descends clouding the panoramic view. The Horton Plains are located in the highest plateau of Sri
Lanka at an elevation of 7,200 feet above sea level. The highlight of the Plains is the terrific
escarpment, The World's End, 3kms working trail from Horton plain, which drops vertically for about
700m. On a very clear day, one could view the east horizon too. En route you could visit bakes falls.
Amebewala Farm - There are two farms at Ambewela and those are called New Zealand farm and
Ambewala Farms. New Zealand farm is at 01km from Ambewela and Ambewela is at before
Ambewela. Rabbits, Cattles, cows, pigs, Goats and grass lands, vegetable farm, seed potatoes
producing center and nice reservoir is available on Ambewela farm. In 12.30pm of every day
demonstrates the get cow milk in electronic machine. Cheese factory, Goat yard and thousands of
animals can be seen in Ambewela farms, Largest grass lands of Sri Lanka also a part of Ambewela
farms.

Afternoon Jeep Safari in Yala you could do Jeep Safari in Ruhuna Yala National Park. (03hrs spend) The
world best place to observe leopards natural habited in the noon time Safari tour by jeep with a jungle
tracker, where we can enjoy wildlife including Elephants, Bears, Wild boar, Dear, Buffalo, Monkeys and
many other animals if you are lucky, leopards too. You also could see different types of birds.

After breakfast leave for Bentota (04 hours) en route visit slit fishing in Weligama, Turtle Farm in
Habaraduwa and Historical city in Galle - An ancient city is now a modern and buzzing town though the
Dutch fortress remains as it was during the Dutch period. Galle was the most important sea port at the
crossroads of Far East & Middle East since the days of the Romans. The Fortress is one of the best
preserved in the Island.
Habaraduwa Turtle Farm - was created to protect this endangered species. The eggs are collected and
immediately buried in a sandy compound that offers protection from birds, crabs and humans, thanks
to some netting. There are 8 varieties of turtle in the world, five of which can be found here: parrot,

green, loggerhead, crocodile and leatherback. All turtles lay 105 eggs six times a year and the
incubation period lasts 48 days. The turtles are kept for a 3-day period to let their navel close and
prevent them from being eaten by fishes and crabs.
Madu Ganga Boat ride - The Maduganga river is a shallow water body in south west Sri Lanka, which
enters the sea at Balapitiya, the Buddhist Kothduwa temple is situated on an isolated island in the lake
together with the smaller Randomber Lake, to which it is connected by two narrow channels, it form the
Madu Ganga wetland. It has high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance being home to 303
species of plants belongs to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals. It might be one of
the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.
