I. GOD IS A HOLY AND PERFECT GOD

A) God is holy, pure, sinless, B) He is the God of love: I Cor. 13:11 C) He is full of tender mercies and loving kindness: Psalm 103:4 D) Gave us life: Psalm 139:14 E) Provides our needs: Matt 5:45II. MAN’S PROBLEM: SIN Rom

3:23 A) Remember Adam and Eve, when they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God said that the moment that they eat of the fruit they shall surely die. But when they ate of the fruit, they did not die physically but they died spiritually. Before they committed the sin, God would speak to them face to face but God separated Himself from them and eventually drove them away from the Garden of Eden.

B) Apostle Paul discusses in Romans 1:18 to Romans 3:8 that the moral man, the immoral man, the religious man and the non-religious man fall on the same boat. He also declares that the Jews and the Greek are all under sin: “there is none righteous, no, not one.”

C) Sin: definition: “missing the mark”

It is not doing the commands of God

III) THE CONSEQUENCE OF SIN IS DEATH, Roman 6:23

A) Physical death: separation of soul from the body B) Eternal death: Permanent Separation of man from God: Revelations 21:8 IV) MAN CANNOT SAVE HIMSELF BY HIS WORKS, Ephesians 2:8,9 A) Man’s morality, religion and good work is not enough to please and reach God B) If we can work for our salvation, it becomes a salary C) If we can pay for our salvation then it becomes a commodityV) GOD’S SOLUTION >God gave His Son Jesus to be our Savior Romans 6: 23: “…But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” > In the Old Testament times, if people sinned, they will have to bring an animal

sacrifice. The priest will offer the sacrifice and when fire comes down from heaven to consume it, it means that their sins have been forgiven. Jesus has become the Lamb of God that has been sacrificed for the sins of the world. Lev. 9: 23, 24VI: BELIEVE: Romans 10:9A) You have to believe in the finished

work of salvation done by Jesus Christ on the crossB) It is free for us but Jesus paid the price.

INTRODUCTIONThe moment a sinner accepted Christ, many things have happened though he may not be conscious of more than sins forgiven or peace and happiness. In the illustration of a motor running, gears engaging and then the moment that the driver releases the clutch, many things happened but perhaps all the driver knows is that the car is in motion. Actually, perhaps a hundred things have happened which he will gradually learn.
