If not, make every effort to help place the girls who would like to continue with Girl Scouts into a troop or troops. If you need help, contact the Customer Service Representative from your region. The girls and adults not placed in new troops will become Juliettes, or individual Girl Scouts for the remainder of the membership year or until placed in a new troop. Girl’s Name Transferred to Troop # or Juliette Girl’s Name Transferred to Troop # or Juliette Troop Finances and Bank Account Disbanding troops are required to close their bank accounts. First, make sure all outstanding checks and debts have cleared the account. Then have the bank issue a Cashier’s Check payable to Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio for any remaining funds and turn the check in to Council. These disbanded troop funds will be held in a restricted account for one year and if in that one year a girl decides to join a different troop, the new leader can request in writing that an equally portioned amount be transferred to the new troop’s account. Remember, Girl Scout funds are at no time the property of an individual girl or her family and funds can never be issued directly to an individual person. A check made payable to Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio in the amount of $________________ is attached. Troop Non-Expendable Equipment If girls are being placed into other troops, the girls and leaders may choose to donate a reasonable portion of the disbanding troop’s non-expendable equipment to those troops. If none of the girls are placed in another troop or troops, remaining troop equipment shall be turned in to Council.
