EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

• Mission: Prepare and provide for the health, welfare and safety of the citizens, visitors and employees of Lake County from the effects of man-made, natural or technological disasters. This is accomplished through planning, public education and continuous refinement of emergency preparedness plans and programs.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS AND OPERATIONS CENTER

• During major disasters, the EOC serves as the central point for the collection of information and allocation of resources

• Meeting the needs of disaster survivors by collaborating with all stakeholders and coordinatingefforts with other jurisdictions to facilitate a countywide response.
