I am looking forward to warmer weather and some fun events coming up. In June we will be holding a big event to kick off summer with a BBQ and the Twisted Swing Big Band. Fun outings to the Penobscot Marine Museum and Thuya Gardens are already in the works. We will hold our normal summer events including putting contests, campfires and popovers on the patio. I am also hoping to plan some other outings and events including a visit to the Inn from Spencer’s Ice Cream truck, trips to Rockland for a museum or two, the Jordan Pond House or Asticou Inn for popovers, a carriage road ride in Acadia, a visit to Hollywood Casino and more. Many of these things have been suggested by multiple people, so please let me know what sounds interesting to you. I will try to plan the events that the most people are interested in. I hope you are all looking forward to a fun filled summer! -Tracy

Musical Events May

Horse Feathers 1932—NR—67 minutes—Subtitles Wednesday, May 1st 7:15 pm (KGP)

Groucho Marx stars as Prof. Wagstaff, who's ap-pointed head of Huxley College in this laugh riot. Most of the fast-flying action centers on the big football game with rival Darwin College. When Groucho mistakes brothers Chico and Harpo for gridiron ringers and then hires them to kidnap the real athletes, you can imagine the mayhem.

The Russia House

1990—R—123 minutes—Subtitles Saturday, May 4th 7:15 pm (KGP)

After intercepting a Russian manuscript meant for small-time publisher Barley Blair, CIA agents urge Blair to follow up on the deal. He wants nothing to do with it, until he sees a photo of the book's beauti-ful editor, Katya. Starring Sean Connery & Michelle Pfeiffer.

The King and I 1956—G—133 minutes—Subtitles Saturday, May 11th 7:15 pm (KGP)

This musical masterpiece tells the true story of An-na Leonowens (Deborah Kerr), who comes to Siam as a teacher to the royal court in the 1860s and finds herself at odds with the monarch (Yul Brynner). Brynner's Academy Award-winning performance and the Rodgers and Hammerstein score, including the songs "Shall We Dance?" and "Getting to Know You," give this film its enduring charm.

Kind Hearts and Coronets

1949—NR—106 minutes—Closed Captioning Wednesday, May 15th 7:15 pm (KGP)

Guinness portrays eight members of the D'Ascoyne clan, a wealthy family that is being bumped off one by one as a disowned scion, Louis (Dennis Price), murders each heir in his way of inheriting the bloodline's fortune. Guinness is mesmerizing in this comedy as he disappears into each role.

The Children Act 2018—R—105 minutes—Closed Captioning

Saturday, May 18th 7:15 pm (KGP) In this absorbing drama, British High Court judge Fiona Maye faces two daunting issues: At home, her marriage is crumbling, while in court she must de-cide whether a young man's parents are entitled to deny him a life-saving transfusion. Starring Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci & Fionn Whitehead.

The Picture of Dorian Gray

1945—NR—110 minutes—Subtitles Wednesday, May 22nd 7:15 pm (KGP)

Aristocrat Dorian Gray (Hurd Hatfield) becomes he-donistic and vain. When his portrait is painted, Gray makes a Faustian bargain: The picture will age while he stays young -- an evil pact that leads to murder. This classic based on a novel by Wilde won an Oscar for Best Cinematography, and Angela Lansbury won a Golden Globe for her role as Gray's jilted lover.

National Lampoon’s Animal House

1978—R—109 minutes—Subtitles Saturday, May 25th 7:15 pm (KGP)

Knowledge is good, but swilling kegs of beer is more fun! Just ask the guys at the Delta House. Often imi-tated, but seldom equaled, Animal House spawned a generation of gonzo comedies and launched John Belushi's film career. Dean Wormer (John Vernon) puts the frat on double probation, and it's up to Blu-to, Flounder, Pinto and the rest to get even.

Kedi

2017—NR—80 minutes—Subtitles Wednesday, May 29th 7:15 pm (KGP)

Experience daily life in the eyes of a cat in Istanbul, where hundreds of thousands of felines roam the streets freely. Many citizens of the Turkish metrop-olis regard themselves as guardians of these cats, which exist between the tame and the wild.

From the journey of protons racing through the world’s largest particle collider to up-close views of the Big Bang and emergent universe,

and the nearly mile-deep descent to an under-ground experiment, Phantom of the Uni-

verse immerses audiences in the search for dark matter. Explore this mysterious matter

and how we are using discoveries at the Large Hadron Collider to get closer to discovering

the true nature of Dark Matter. View the first hints of its existence through the eyes of Fritz

Zwicky, the scientist who coined the term “dark matter.” Explore the astral choreography

witnessed by Vera Rubin in the Andromeda galaxy, and then plummet deep underground to see the most sensitive dark matter detector

on Earth, housed in a former gold mine. Speed alongside particles before they collide in visu-

ally stunning explosions of light and sound at Large Hadron Collider at CERN, while

learning how scientists around the world are collaborating to track down the constituents of

dark matter. Cost is $5 You must order your tickets in advance by
