Ohio REALTORS Leadership

The President is the chief elected officer of the Association and has the responsibil-ity for all action and activities of the Association. The President is looked upon as the primary spokesperson for the Association and real estate industry in Ohio. The Presi-dent is officially installed at the Annual Convention in September.

Tiffany Meyer - President

Tiffany is broker/owner of Howard Hanna J.C. Meyer REALTORS® in Ashland, has been a licensed REAL-TOR® since 1995.

On the local level, she served as President of the Ashland Board of REALTORS® in 2005 and again in 2014. She served on numerous Board Committees, including Broker, Grievance, Public Relations, RPAC, Website, MLS, Nominating, Professional Standards and Legislative. Additionally, Tiffany served on a special Board subcommittee concerning Septic System Regulations (2014-2015).

On the state level she served as District Vice President (2008-2009 and 2014-2015) and has been a Director since 2004. She served as a member of numerous Committees, including: Legislative, Strate-gic Planning, Convention, Executive, Products & Services, and Young Professionals Network. She also served on several Ohio REALTORS® Task Forces, including Contingency Planning, Licensing and as chair of Generational Diversity. She received the organization’s REALTOR® of the Year Award in 2015.

Additionally, Tiffany has served as a member of numerous committees for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), including Convention and Land Use. She is currently a member of the NAR Broker Idea Exchange Council. Tiffany has served as Federal Political Coordinator for Congressman Bob Gibbs since 2011. She was instrumental in working with Rep. Gibbs in introducing the Waters of the US legis-lation into Congress. She contributes to RPAC at the Crystal R President's Circle Major Investor Level.

She holds NAR’s Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) professional designation and is working toward the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

Tiffany resides with her fiance, Gabe in Loudonville, Ohio.

The President-elect automatically moves up the ranks from the position of Treasurer, ul-timately becoming President of the Associa-tion the following year.

The primary responsibility of the President-elect is to become more acquainted with the operation of the Association and to fill in for the President as needed. The President-elect also serves as Chairman of the Finance Com-mittee.

AJ is a second generation REALTOR® who part-ners with her father in RCF Properties Inc.

On the local level, AJ served as President of the Dayton REALTORS® in 2012. She served on numerous committees including: Budget & Finance, RPAC, Strategic Planning, Legislative, Emerging Issues, MLS Operations, YPN and Pro-fessional Standards. She was the board's Broker Owner of the Year in 2014.

On the state level she has served as District Vice President (2014-2015) and has been a Director since 2008. She served as a member of numerous Committees, including: Legislative Steering, Legal Action, RPAC, Commercial Indus-trial, Residential Property, Communications and Finance, among others. she was a member of the Ohio Division of Real Estate Credentials Task Force (2013-2014)

Additionally, she was elected as an NAR Direc-tor in 2012 and served on a number of Commit-tees, including Housing Opportunity, Com-mercial Real Estate Research, and Commercial Legislation and Regulatory Advisory Board. She served in leadership on the Property Manage-ment Forum and Commercial Committee. In 2014 she was a member of the NAR Environ-mental Summit. AJ currently serves as Region 6 RPAC Trustee, representing Michigan and Ohio. She contributes to RPAC at the Golden R Presi-dent's Cirlce Major Investor Level and is a 2018 member of the RPAC Hall of Fame.

She holds NAR’s Accredited Buyer Represen-tative (ABR), e-PRO, Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR), (CIPS) Certified International Property Specialist, and is a candidate for the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation.

AJ and her wife, Shay, have a daughter and reside in Dayton.

The CEO is the chief administrative officer. He is re-sponsible for day-to-day operations, implementation of approved policies and programs and supervision of staff.

For the past 27 years Bob Fletcher has played an integral role in advancing the interests and concerns of Ohio’s real estate professionals at the state and national level, serving as chief lobbyist and senior vice president.

In 2010, Bob added the role of the organization’s chief executive officer to his responsibilities, with over-sight of a 23-person professional staff that directs all facets of the Association’s day-to-day operations and programs.

Recognized as one of the leading public policy experts in Ohio, Bob was awarded the “Green Jacket” by the Ohio House Republican Leadership in 1998, an annual award presented to an outstanding lobbyist. He also served as the president of the Ohio Lobbying Associa-tion in 1998. His expertise in the governmental affairs area was similarly recognized within the REALTOR or-ganization when he was elected by his peers to serve as chairman of the National Association of REALTORS Government Affairs Directors Committee in 2002.

Bob was appointed by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland in 2008 to serve on the Capitol Square Review and Advi-sory Board, charged with oversight of the operation of the Ohio State House and parking garage facility.

Civically, for the past 13 years he has served as Treasurer of the University Community Association, designed to promote homeownership and quality of life issues in the area surrounding The Ohio State University.

Bob is a 1973 graduate of Bowling Green State Univer-sity and a 1976 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law. Additionally, in 1997 he graduated from the Institute for Organizational Management offered at the University of Delaware, a six-year program offered in collaboration with the American Society of Association Executives and U.S. Chamber of Commerce designed to enhance Association manage-ment skills.

Prior to joining Ohio REALTORS, Bob served as legisla-tive counsel to the Ohio State Bar Association for 12 years. In that capacity, he served as a lobbyist, formu-lated legislative policies, oversaw development of a weekly newsletter and directed the work of several standing committees of the Bar.

The Treasurer is the chief-elected finan-cial officer of the Association and, as such, is responsible, in cooperation with the Finance Department, for monitoring the financial condition of the Associa-tion.

Chris was licensed in 1977 and began her career working for her father, Jim Luebbe at Metro II Realty, until she took over as broker in 2007.

On the local level, she served as President of Columbus REALTORS® in 2006. She was co-founder of the original Columbus Independent Broker’s Association (CIBA) in 1995 and President of the Columbus Women’s Council of REALTORS® in 1997. Chris has served on and chaired numer-ous committees including: Strategic Long Range Planning, Budget, Finance & Invest-ments, MLS, Builder/REALTOR® Alliance, Professional Standards, Political Activity & RPAC, and Appraisal, among others. She was named Columbus REALTOR® Broker of the Year in 2009 and the recipient of “Charter Class” Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.

On the state level she served as District Vice President (2009-2010) and has been a Director since 1997. She served as the 2017 Chair of the newly created My REALTOR® Party Group. She served as a member of numerous Committees, including: Finance, Executive, Strategic Planning, Professional Development, Legislative Steering, Issues Mobilization, RPAC Trustees, Convention, and Nominat-ing, among others.

Nationally, she serves as the 2018 Chair of the Large Board Forum, and as an NAR Director (2004-2009, 2014-2015, 2017). She served on a number of committees, including: Large Board Forum, Consumer Communications, MLS Policy, and Resort & Second Home. She contributes to RPAC at the Crystal R President's Circle Major Investor Level.

She holds NAR’s Certified Residential Specialist, (CRS) designation.

Chris resides in Columbus with her hus-band, Durk. She has a daughter Lindsey, son Dustin, and two grandchildren.

Ohio REALTORS Chairs & Vice ChairsLegal Issues Forum

The purpose of the Legal Issues Forum is to increase awareness and understanding on the part of Board leaders and the general member-ship of legal issues relevant to the Association and the real estate business. Forums shall allow members to share and seek information of a legal nature and offer suggestions on how the Association may provide assistance. At forum programs, speakers will convey information on legal issues, as well as encourage discussions among attendees. Forums shall be scheduled at the Spring Conference and the Annual Conventions. Recommendations approved by the Forum attendees may be submitted for consideration by the Executive Committee.

Professional Standards ForumTo facilitate discussion, awareness and understanding of professional standards-related issues. The Forum provides a vehicle through which participants can share and seek information relevant to those who administer or participate as a volunteer in enforcement of the Code of Ethics or Arbitration, Mediation and Ombudsman services. The Forum will also: 1) stimulate interest in mediation as the strategy-of-choice for resolving monetary disputes between (among) real estate professionals; 2) introduce members to its “win-win” benefits through creative local promotions; and 3) enhance mediators’ applied skills by sharing tactical tips and techniques.

Ohio Department of CommerceOhio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing

The Ohio Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing is a part of the Ohio Department of Commerce; the Division is the official licensing agency for all 45,000 real estate licensees in Ohio. The Division is staffed by 40 professionals in Columbus and Cleveland who carry out rules handed down during the monthly Real Estate Commission meetings.

Staffers process initial applications and renewals of more than 45,000 real estate licensees annually, monitor the quality of continuing education courses and ensure the necessary credit has been obtained by license renewals.

Ohio Real Estate CommissionThe Ohio Real Estate Commission is a five-member group, appointed by the Governor, that meets once a month in the Division offices. Four of the five must be active brokers. Commissioners set licensing requirements, make rules concerning licensees, handle complaints about violations of state laws and regulations and suspend and revoke licenses. Commissioners also certify courses for continuing education credit and oversee the special Recovery Account.

Ohio Real Estate Appraiser BoardThe Ohio Real Estate Appraiser Board functions like the Ohio Real Estate Commission. The Board is the last stop for disputes over licenses and over licensees’ actions. It can choose to renew licenses for appraisers who miss renewal deadlines; it can revoke or suspend licenses when it determines appraisers violated appraisal laws.

The Board is a Governor-appointed panel with rule making authority over the group it regulates—the appraisers. The state Legislature enacts laws concerning appraisers, such as how many hours the state requires for licensing and certification;

Peg Ritenour, Vice President Legal Services & Administration -- Serves as general counsel for the Associa-tion and has the authority to act as the Association’s chief staff in the absence of the CEO. Authors articles on legal issues for publication in the Ohio REALTOR, Daily Buzz, e-connections, Ohio REALTORS® website and other Association publications. Reviews, drafts, and testifies on pending legislation before the Ohio Legislature as required. Oversees all legal services including the operation of the Legal Assistance Hotline, Legal Action Fund and the activities of the Vice President of Legal Services, the Director of Finance, the Member and Board Services Group, Publications and Media Relations Group and Management

Shauna Brown, Director of Finance -- Serves as the chief financial officer of the Association and over-sees the overall management of the financial operations of the organization, including development and preparation of the annual operating budget and audit. Responsible for managing financial and accounting policies, systems and processes, tax and regulatory requirements, payroll, accounts payable and internal financial controls. Responsible for generating proposed budget reports and scripts as required. Works in conjunction with outside investment advisors to oversee the Association’s investments in accordance with

approved policies. Responsible for all RPAC disbursements and the RPAC Entitlement Program. Serves as staff liaison to the Finance Committee.


Debbie Dillon, Executive Assistant to the CEO -- Provides administrative support to the CEO and the Director of Board Support. Coordinates travel and registration arrangements for Association officers and staff to attend NAR meetings, serves as primary contact for RPAC related questions from Local Boards and members, ensures that Ohio REALTORS policies and the Code of Regulations are up-to-date and followed. MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS Email/Direct DialCherie Murray, Director of Management Information Systems -- Responsible for the planning, imple-mentation, management, and security of internal and external computer servers, systems, and network. Responsible for the management of dues collection and membership records, works with staff to identify, execute and maintain systems and procedures to improve productivity and functionality within the Associa-tion, works closely with the website manager, oversees the activities of the Technical Analyst and Member-ship Records Administrator and serves as staff liaison to the Business Technology Forum.


Shirley Reed, Technical Analyst -- Responsible for all staff computer system upgrades and hardware maintenance, including on-demand troubleshooting assistance to staff as necessary, as well as assists the Director of MIS with the daily computer operations and backup systems. Responsibilities also include processing of dues income and reconciliation each month with the Director of Finance, deposit and posting of all RPAC contributions in Aristotle and completing and assuring the accurate filing of the RPAC Campaign Report with the Ohio Secretary of State.


Nikki Arnold, Membership Records Administrator -- Responsible for posting state and national dues remit-tances from Local Associations. Membership Records changes (i.e. address changes, company transfers, etc.). Assists Local Boards with membership records and NRDS. Provides assistance with dues billing service. Also responsible for coordinating the registration process for the Spring Legislative Conference and Convention.

Jenna Bragg, Director of Meetings & Conventions -- Responsible for coordinating all meeting logistics for the Association’s off-site Conferences, Conventions, and meetings. Coordination includes, but is not limit-ed to: site selection, logistical concerns (travel and housing), meeting room requirements including audio visual support, food and beverage functions, contracting with speaker/instructors/entertainers, hotels, convention centers and suppliers. Oversees the activities of the Meeting & Member Services Coordinator and serves as staff liaison to the Convention Committee and the Ohio Institutes, Societies and Councils.


Greg Stitz, Director of Research -- Responsible for the systematic gathering and interpretation of specified information needs of the Association, including identifying the most appropriate means to gather such information, survey/questionnaire design, data analysis and final documentation/interpretation of any findings. Also responsible for administering the Association Member Benefit program, providing research-related assistance to Local Boards, collects and analyzes housing sales activity data from Ohio’s MLSs and serves as staff liaison to the Research Advisory Committee and Products & Services Committee.


Sharon Sample, RCE, Director of Board Support Services -- Responsible for identifying, developing, offer-ing, and delivering administrative, training and managerial services to Member Boards and Associations. Administers the NAR Organizational Alignment-Core Standards program required of all its member associa-tions. Serves as the Association’s Ombudsman and staff liaison to the Association Executives Committee, Board Leadership Forums, Equal Opportunity Diversity Committee, MLS Forum and Professional Stan-dards Forum.


Stacey Dawson, Member Benefit & Meetings Coordinator -- Provides administrative support to Direc-tor of Meetings & Conventions and the Director of Research. Scott Williams, Vice President of Public Policy -- Serves as Association chief lobbyist. In coordination with the Association’s Legislative Committee, provides appropriate supportive actions which best facilitate the achievement of the Association’s legislative and political action goals. Also responsible for the achieve-ment of those goals and the support or opposition of legislation or regulations which directly or in-directly affect the real estate industry and private property rights. Oversees the activities of the Director of RPAC Development & My REALTOR Party and serves as staff liaison to the Appraisal Committee, Commercial/

Carrie Arblaster, Director Political Affairs-- Responsible for the RPAC of Ohio fundraising duties within the state association and assisting local associations in reaching their local RPAC of Ohio fundraising goals. Acts as key point of contact and visionary, ensuring that RPAC of Ohio is striving to meet the NAR RPAC annual goals and maximizing RPAC of Ohio’s opportunity to use NAR grants and fundraising tools.
