Welcome to the fourth issue of Mather Lifestyle, the monthly newsletter!

Heartfelt greetings to all the readers, well wishers and our customers! I take this opportunity to thank you for the appreciation and positive feedback of the newsletter. Over the months, I have received many emails and personal phone calls appreciating and encouraging the transparency in our communication. It’s our endeavor to keep you informed of various developments and initiatives taken by Mather and to help you stay connected with us who is building your dream home.

As shared in my last communication with regards to the projects handover, we have taken major steps to speed up project execution and are progressing as per the schedule. For the benefit of our customers who may have missed the previous issue of Mather Lifestyle, we have mentioned below the committed dates for handover of apartments for interior works and final delivery.

I invite you to visit our various project sites and witness the progress yourself. Our Customer Care Team led by Ms. Anu Joseph (India Cell +91 99461 08008) will be available seven days a week to schedule a visit to your apartment as and when you desire.

We have infused sizeable amount of funds in the projects since the management transition in July 2012 in order to adhere to the strict project timelines as communicated in the September, 2012 issue of Mather Lifestyle. I am also pleased to inform you that we have received the first tranche of funds from HDFC Debt facility (as informed in the previous Mather Lifestyle) for Mather Projects which has been also used for speeding up the project execution. Further, we count on your support in meeting these dates through timely payments of your installments/ dues. Our customer services team will be happy to assist you in this regard. We wish to stress on the importance of timely payment of installments for projects to progress as per schedule. Timely payments of installments by each one of our customers will ensure that planned cash flow is in order and making scheduled project execution possible.

I wish to bring to your notice the efforts that have been undertaken by Mather Home Care in bringing you the world-class interior design and project execution as your homes are nearing delivery. Mr. Rakesh Aikara, Manager, Mather Home Care (India Cell +91 98462 60000) and his team is dedicated to bring to you the best interior designs and project execution skills from a panel of interior designers under the direct supervision of Mather Home Care. Our panel includes leading interior designers from Kerala, Mumbai and Dubai.

Mather Projects participated in the “CREDAI Kerala Property Show” held in Dubai on the 28th & 29th of September 2012 at Hotel JW Marriot. The event was successful with a large turnout of Malayalees with high confidence on investments in Kerala. It has been our pleasure to meet many of you and exchange ideas.

In an attempt to help us draw long-term strategy and tactical measures, Mather will be conducting a survey to seek your response on various aspects such as city of your choice, price bands and type of home if you were to invest in another apartment or a villa in Kerala. Also in this survey, we intend to seek your inputs on areas such as customer services, quality and brand perception. Our team will communicate with you soon to get your inputs on the survey. Please participate and give us your candid opinion for us to further improve our services and products.

This month has two very special celebrations: Navratri and Eid Al-Adha. Navaratri means “nine nights”, and is one of the greatest Hindu festivals. It symbolises the triumph of good over evil. Eid al-Adha is celebrated with great solemnity and reverence across the world to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s faith and belief in God.

The master plan of the SmartCity Kochi project will be completed in the third week of September, said Abdullatif AlMulla, CEO of Tecom Group of Companies.

Tecom plans to kick-start the construction of the first IT building soon thereafter, in consultations with the State government.

Mr. AlMulla said that the proposed SmartCity Kochi would not focus on IT alone. It would also have clusters on media, finance, and entertainment.

Enhancing IT facilities

Earlier, Principal IT Secretary P.H. Kurian made a presentation on the investment opportunities that the State has to offer in the IT and ITES sectors. He said that the State plans to enhance its built-up IT space from 11 million sq.ft. to 42 million sq.ft. Mr. Kurian elaborated on the hub-and-spoke model being followed by the State in the IT sector. Of the 1,600 acres available for the IT sector, 600 acres are available for lease.

He said that a highly literate human resource is spread evenly across the State, enabling companies to leverage the hub-and-spoke model.

Kerala is to launch its own airline “Air Kerala” to cater to passengers travelling between the state and Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

the new airline will follow the public-private partnership model, as was adopted in building the Cochin International Airport.

The proposal of starting a budget airline, was first

floated at the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in New Delhi

five years ago.

Foreign carriers have evinced interest in Air Kerala,

a state-promoted airline project, expected to

fly between the Arabian Gulf countries and the

southern Indian state

Currently, Air Kerala, with an initial equity base of

Rs 200 crore, will be 26% state-owned with non-

resident Keralites and business groups holding the

remaining shares valued at Rs 10,000 per share.

Ernst & Young is helping the Kerala government

with a feasibility report on the airline project.

KGS Aranmula International Airport Ltd,

which is developing India’s first private

airport at Aranmula, Pathanamthitta

district, has received clearances for the

project from the Airports Authority of India

(AAI), according to the executive director

of the developer. “A team from the AAI

visited the site of the airport and gave full

clearance for the project. The Rs.2,000-

crore airport project is expected to offer a

significant development boost not only to

Aranmula and Pathanamthitta district, but

also to the entire region,”.

This airport, once complete, will facilitate

the pilgrimage to the Sabarimala temple,

as the airport will come up near the

temple. A statement from the developer

on Wednesday said recent reports of

protests against the airport were based on

rumours. “There was a local shutdown to

protest the inclusion of KGS the Aranmula

Airport project in the recent Emerging

Kerala meet. The project was not included

in the Emerging Kerala investment meet,”

the statement said.
