The Distance fromSaxton to the AccessGate is approximately3 miles.
The distance from theAccess Gate to Putt�sCamp is 3.4 miles.
Putt’s Camp is located onRaystown Lake near the southern-most end of the lake. RaystownLake is a flood control lakecompleted in 1974 and has 110miles of shoreline. The entirelength of the lake stretches from thetown of Saxton (Bedford County)to Huntingdon (HuntingdonCounty), a span of 29 miles.
Putt’s Camp is a High Adventure primitive camping area operated by the Saxton Boy Scout Troop 471 / Laurel Highlands Council in cooperation with thethe Baltimore District Army Corps of Engineers on a non-profit basis. Therefore, to keep our costs at a minimum we ask for your cooperation in abiding by he following rulesand regulations.

√ Local Council Tour Planwith Certificate of Insurancefrom local council.
√ A Signed “Agreement of Use”√ Garbage must be removed
from campground. Pack-it-in,Pack-it-Out.
√ No cutting of standing trees,please use downed wood only.Note: There is plenty offirewood available.
√ Camp only in designatedareas.
√ Park vehicles in designatedareas only.
√ Do not move fire rings.√ Please double check for tent
stakes, they create a hazardwhen mowing.
√ Non-combustible material isnot to be left in fire rings.
