Directed Numbers & Absolute Value

What does this guy have to do with Mrs. Sheguit’s math experience???

Directed Numbers

Directed numbers are vectors.

Order these numbers from least to greatest.

Absolute Value

The absolute value of a number is its distance from zero.

In other words, absolute value is the magnitude of the number without direction.

Looks like:

Absolute Value, continued.

Absolute Value is a distance.

Distance cannot be negative, so absolute value cannot be negative!!
