Precise temperature and humidity control

Complex IT centers are characterized by extremely variable thermal loads, which require very high cooling capacity at full load in order to avoid compromising the correct operation of the IT machines when they are most needed. The massive use of the new INVERTER technology makes it possible to keep temperature and humidity constant even with very strong load variations, preventing dangerous temperature fluctuations which are almost unavoidable with traditional ON/OFF compressors.

High efficiency at partial loads

In today’s data centers, energy consumed by the HVAC plant is increasing rapidly. In systems characterized by 24/7 operation, even the slightest compromise concerning efficiency may lead to dramatic implications for the operating costs of the whole data center. Working efficiently even at partial loads, which are the most frequent operating condition, is key in order to halve overall operating costs.

Thanks to the adoption of DC inverter brushless compressors and the latest generation of EC fans, i-ACCURATE air conditioners can reduce the partial load energy consumption by 50%.

The many types of structures used as technical areas and the need to optimize their dimensions, require versatile solutions able to adapt to any room, always granting perfect control and highest efficiency.This means complete flexibility, available both for capacities (from 6 to 150 kW Inverter), and plant configuration thanks to 5 different cooling solutions.

The need for higher efficiency levels and reduced TCO values have led to increasing temperatures (up to 27°C) of intake airflows directed to the air conditioners (ASHRAE, ‘Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments’), thus increasing discharge air temperatures.i-ACCURATE SMART is the winning solution, specifically designed to manage environments with 40°C of inlet air temperature. Available both as DUAL FLUID (i-AD / i-AT ) and FREE COOLING ( i-AF ) versions, the SMART configuration optimize the primary water circuit performance even with high temperature fluids.The chiller’s efficiency and the free cooling operation are therefore maximized also whenoutdoor temperatures are high.

The INVERTER technology on the compressor regulates the powercapacity according to the real requirements of the server. The compressor performance at partial loads is therefore optimized, rapidly increasing its efficiency and reducing unit’s consumption.

EC PUL Inverter fans

Aimed at optimizing energy costs, this modern technology with electronically commutated EC motor increases the overall energy efficiency of the unit through an accurate management of all parameters such as flow rate, power and pressure. The result is the best system operation in any working conditions. Main features: Noise level reduction by 4-5 dB(A) compared to traditional fans Power absorption reduction by 25% compared to traditional fans 2 versions available, BASIC and high pressure HP (optional)

EC fans also in the remote condensers

The use of EC technology even on the remote condenser fan ensures afurther average reduction of noise levels by 10%, together with a strongreduction of energy consumption by 45% compared to traditionalcondensers with AC technology.

Electronic thermostatic valve

The new generation i-ACCURATE comes with electronic expansion valves. These valves ensure optimal operation of the refrigeration cycle in every environmental condition. The versions called OVER with air outflow from the top generally have the air intake either at the front, or bottom* of the units, according to the customer’s requirements. The outflow from the top is along ducts behind suspended ceilings or front delivery plenums.

i-AXO/i-AXUDIRECT EXPANSION AIR-COOLED UNITS, WITH INVERTER COMPRESSOR

In these direct expansion units refrigerant is used for the heat transfer.The air in the room is treated in the evaporating coil and the heat from condensation is released to an outdoor condenser. The condenser features a fan speed controller aimed at optimizing the condensation pressure even in the most adverse temperature conditions.

i-AWO/i-AWU DIRECT EXPANSION WATER COOLED UNITS, WITH INVERTER COMPRESSOR

In these direct expansion units refrigerant is used for the heat transfer.The air in the room is treated in the evaporating coil and the heat from condensation is released by an internal plate type exchanger connected to a water circuit. The condensation water can be extracted from a well, a local water system or by closed circuits such as cooling towers or dry coolers.

i-ACCURATE comes with a capacity from 4 to 160 kW both in the air-cooled direct expansion versions (i-AXO / i-AXU) and the water-cooled one (i-AWO / i-AWU), and capacities from 7 to 144 kW in the dual fluid (i-ADO / i-ADU and i-ATO / i-ATU) and free cooling versions (i-AFO / i-AFU).
