I would like to acknowledge the Turrbal people who are the Traditional Custodians of this Land, where we are located today. Nundah means “CHAIN OF WATER HOLES” in the traditional Turrbal language. I would also like to pay my respect to the Elders both past and present and extend that respect to the other Indigenous Australians.

1. Turn Your Mobile Ringer Off
Set to vibrate, meeting or silent
Different ring tones can be annoying
Trainer and students will know how offend you get calls
2. Use your Mobile only for important calls
What is Important
Family Emergencies – something which must be dealt with
immediately (child sick at school or day care)
Response for Job Interview – if you have to report to your JSA /
Centerlink or information about an interview appointment
Not Important
Family member ringing for a chat about your cousin
Friend calling to chat about your face book page or organising to
go for a night out on the town
3. Don’t bring your mobile into the restroom (toilet)
This should apply anywhere Why?
Never know who’s in there
Person on the other end of the line will hear all the bathroom sounds
Invasion of other people’s privacy
4. Bring your mobile phone into a learning environment
Set to vibrate doing this will be tempted to see who it’s from
This is rude
Clear signal to your trainer that your mind is not 100% on your study
Attend calls during your break
REMEMBER – THERE WAS A TIME BEFORE
WE HAD MOBILE PHONES
