Mr. Sanjay K. Kaushik born on 04 /10/1967, with the inspiration of his father Mr.S. M. Kaushik steped into special education and done DMR in the year 1989. Hewas one out of four candidate who have done the course of DMR for the first timein Rajasthan state from National Institute of Mentally Handicapped, MumbaiBranch. He worked for a decade, in the field of special education specially with

mental retardation. He worked to develop special schools through his deep knowledge andskills in mental retardation. He had a dream to develop human resource center, which willminimize the scarcity of special educators in the field of mental retardation in Rajasthan.Today with his inspiration and blessings organisation is stepping into human resourcedevelopment. "OUR EFFORTS IN THIS FIELD ARE DEDICATED TO HIS LOVING SOUL !"

About RMKMRajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal Sanstha is a Registered Voluntary Organisation working inthe field of Women and Child development since 1975 in Ajmer District. It is being run by agroup of Social Activists. Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal, was established to provide immediaterelief to the victims of the devastating flood that struck the Ajmer city. The organization paidspecial attention towards the poor families who became homeless during the flood on 18th July,1975 in Ajmer. Since then it has developed expertise in wide range of development interventionswhich were acquired through years of hard work and learning by dedicated staff in development.

Our organization Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal, Ajmer is working in the field of MentalRetardation since 1988. We are pioneer in the field of special education in Ajmer district. Presentlywe are running two-day care centers viz, Minu Manovikas Mandir, Inclusive School,Chachiyawas, Ajmer & Sanjay Inclusive School, Beawar. "Minu" Residential Care, Minu EarlyIntervention Centre, and "DAKSH" Vocational Training Centre & Community BasedRehabilitation Programme (CBR) for mentally challenged children, in Ajmer district. Our aim isto make intellectually challenged children self-reliant and live a dignified life. Our organizationis registered under National Trust Act 1999 specially made for the welfare of Mentally Retardation,Cerebral Palsy, Autism & Multiple Disabled Children.

On 15th August 2004 organisation has received District Level Honor as a Best NGO and on 25th

January 2007 it has received honor of Best NGO by Governor Rajasthan Mrs. Pratibha Patil,On 3rd December 2009 organization was elected for the Award of state level BEST NGO workingin the field of mental retardation. Our organization is also awarded by SBI Excellency Awardon 30th May 2011 and on district level awarded as appreciation Award in Health and Educationfor CWSN in social service sector on 15th August 2011. Our organization got Award for BestLocal Level Committee work in Ajmer District. And on 3rd December 2011 our chief functionaryreceived state level best worker award for the rehabilitation of disabled children. Jiyo Dil SeAward by 94.3 MY FM (Bhaskar Group) won by Chief Functionary Mrs. Kshama R. Kaushik on24th Feb. 2013 and Organization received the award of "Pride of Rajasthan 2015" from K.V.Foundation, Jaipur for its eminent work in the field of disability on 27th May 2015

About the RCI

Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) has been set up under an Act of Parliament of 1992and is inter alia empowered to regulate and standardize syllabi for all professionals needed forthe special education or rehabilitation of the disabled.

As a part of the training program, the RMKM, Ajmer offers a two years Diploma in Education Special Education(Mental Retardation) recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India.The Aim of this course is to prepare the trainee teacher to screen, assess, educate and train persons withintellectual disability mental retardation individually or in group settings.

The general objectives of the course are as follows: To prepare special teachers at pre primary and primary levels to serve in special schools, integrated/

inclusive setups and as itinerant programmers. To build adequate knowledge in various aspects of disability, its impact and management, key aspects of

education like goals, functions, technology and emergingtrends. To develop skills in personal, professional and social competencies required in teachers, developments and

adaptations of instructional material, classroom management techniques and individual and group parentsinteractions.

The duration of the course shall be of 2 years, which is divided into four semesters comprising of 220 daysconsisting of 1320 hours each year thus having a total of 2640 hours for theory and practical.

The minimum Percentage of marks is 50% marks in the (12th) examination for the relevant programme/course.Relaxantion of marks and reservation of seats as per the instructions/guidelines issued by the respectiveStates/Union Trritories.

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/SBC candidates & persons with disabilities will be as per State Govt.Rules.

Applications for admission will be screened and short-listed by a Committee constituted for this purpose. Themerit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the above mentioned qualifying examination.Admission will be given on merit basis.

2. Candidate has to pay university fees at the time of examination. If he/she doesn't pay university fee he/shewill not be entitled to appear in the examination.

Successful candidate will posses a certificate of registration from Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI) which will authorized them to practice in the field of rehabilitation anywhere in India.

Refund of Fee :The candidate once admitted in the course will not be allowed to leave the course under any

circumstances. If the candidate still desires to leave the course due to any reason, fees oncedeposited will not be refunded.

All matters of any dispute shall be limited to Ajmer Court Only.

The curriculum designed and approved by RCI will be followed for Diploma in Education SpecialEducation (D.Ed. SE MR) course.
