Upon successful completion of this programme, students will also achieve Certified Kitchen Cook credentials from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) – USA. This programme is offered full-time (weekdays) and part-time (evenings and weekends). Programme completion takes one (1) year (full-time or part-time). Course outline: Hospitality Today* Food Safety: Managing the HACCP System* First Aid Culinary Arts 1 (Theory and Lab) Culinary Arts 2 (Theory and Lab) Baking Essentials (Theory and Lab) Hospitality Spanish Diploma in Culinary Arts Management of Food and Beverage Operations* Planning and Control for Food and Beverage Operations* Culinary Mathematics Fundamentals of Communication Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute NB. Students are also required to complete the following certifications and internship periods to graduate: • Certified Guest Service Professional - Making Connections during Semester 1 • Certified Guest Service Professional - Golden Opportunities after Semester 2 • Certified Kitchen Cook • 120 hours of industry practice before completion of the programme • 200 hours of industry practice after completion of programme * Represents American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) course. (Each completed course earns the student a certificate from AHLEI)
