Ascension Day Service
“While he was blessing them,
he left them and was taken up
into heaven.” (Luke 24:51).
There will be a service this Thursday to
commemorate Christ’s ascension into
heaven. Details of the service are as follow
Date: 30 May 2019
Time: 10:00
Celebrant: Revd AM Khumalo
Food for thought: Christ before his Ascension, comforted His disciples in knowing that we have the Holy Spirit, our Advocate, who even in the absence of the physical Christ, will always remind us of our aspirations of being Christ-like. We may call it conscience, or “that inner voice”, but we feel Christ’s presence in all walks of life, reminding us to love God, and each other. Once we carry that love, we reincarnate Christ in ourselves, and so then, this world still has Christ in it, with us being His embodiment.
Prayer Request
Please keep Mr Mfundo Manqele close in
your thoughts and prayers. Mr Manqele is
currently ill at The Baragwanath Hopsital, in
ward 22. Let us pray for his speedy recover
and for the well being of all who are ill, at
home or in hospitals.
