The DINO Six is a uniquely portable sediment removal system developed to perform jobs inaccessible to other equipment. Weighing only 3800 pounds, the DINO Six is used to clean storm water retention ponds, sediment lagoons, marinas, golf course ponds, and home association lakes. The system is simple and easy to operate. Sediment is excavated by a durable, direct-drive cutterhead, and discharged at up to 1800 gpm through a highly abrasion-resistant, hydraulic submersible pump. Mobilization costs are a fraction of those of heavier machines. The launching and loading is more like a boat than a conventional dredge or excavator. There is no damage to the shoreline or tracks to be repaired. Although the DINO Six is lightweight, it is made of components and materials that are tougher and longer-lasting than those of much heavier and more costly machines. Dewatering dredged material:

Tubes are used where a containment area or spoil area is not possible or practical.

Even when a containment area is a viable option, tubes can be used to construct it. There are

several advantages to this method.

• A much smaller space is required.

• The dredged material is used to construct the dike.

• There are no erosion or blow out worries.

• The decant water is cleaner because no dirt from the dike washes into the spoil area.

• No heavy equipment is needed to build the dikes.

• No excavation, or dirt hauled in, and back out again.

• When there is a natural ravine the tubes can be used to construct a dam across the

opening, or a semicircle dike to a side hill, using the natural lay of the land for part of the

dike.

• The cost of these methods is usually less than excavating besides the other advantages. A

6' high dike can usually be built for $25 per linear foot

• Theoretical example:

Containment for 3,000 CY of lake mud.

• A spoil area made with a dirt bank would be 160' x 160' minimum outside measurement,

and would contain 1,327 CY minimum of dirt if it were hauled in.

• A spoil area built with 30' tubes would be 100' x 100' outside measurement, and would

contain only dredged material.
