“Open Minds” framework is developed by the Batch mates of 1987 & 1989 of St.Joseph's A.I.B.H.S.School, Vepery. It is designed to be an alternative way of learning competencies that will help students thrive in the real world.

“Poverty makes teaching stressful and takes its toll on educators. It's difficult to teach young minds who are battered by poverty, scarcity and domestic violence. The students mostly come unprepared to cooperate, listen, read or even plan for the future.”

“Poverty stricken families are helpless and fight a losing battle. Not unless the parents enroll the child in a school. Schools become the 'first-defense' in the battle to protect students from the cruelties of poverty. And, St.Joseph's takes a unique foremost position in such a battle.”
