History Of Dinka Origin

The Dinka people have been on the move for over 25 years due to their homeland being invaded from people of North of Sudan.

Many Dinka are now scattered throughout the world, living in countries with climates, cultures, and living conditions far different from what they left in Southern Sudan.

Where They Are From

They are from south Sudan.

The Dinka live in a region of south of the Sudan that turns to a swampland when the Nile River floods.

Due to civil war, large numbers of Dinka have migrated from the southern Sudan to the northern Sudanese capital of Khartoum.

Clothes

The Dinka wear very little clothing and no shoes. Men go naked, and the women may wear goatskin skirts. Both men and women wear strings of beads around their necks. Women also wear bangles on their arms and legs, and they may also wear elaborate jewellery in their ears.
