NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATIONJuly 30, 2010
Introduction:
Every month of July , we are celebrating the month of Nutrition. This year theme , “SA PAGKAING TAMA AT SAPAT , WASTONG TIMBANG NI BABY ANG KATAPAT.”
It is right and proper that we have to know proper nutrition. By proper nutrition means you are eating the right food and the right amount needed by your body at your own age. Otherwise, if this does not meet the requirements you may be under nourished or overnourished.
Our body needs the food nutrients such as carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals. It is good to know the three basic food groups and the nutrients it will give to us.It does not mean that we are going to eat all of them. At least in every meal we have take all the necessary food nutrients requirements.
Of course , you should also remember that you have to drink the right amount of clean and safe water , have enough sleep, rest and exercise. Avoid taking unprescribeddrugs and medicine.
The essence of celebrating July as Month of Nutrition does not mean that you have to observe only proper nutrition in this month but it should be done everyday especially in taking the meals. Our school , Mendez Crossing Elementary School observed ,celebrated, and participated in this program.
Objectives:
a. To enlighten and refresh every pupils the value of proper nutrition.b. To observe proper eating habits.c. To help in decreasing malnutrition in Mendez Crossing.
Activities Undertaken
1. The school furnished streamer for the campaign entitled “Sa Pagkaing Tama at Sapat, Wastong Timbang no Baby ang Katapat” and have it in front of school.2. The integration of the theme in every subject from Grade I- Grade VI such as Science, Mathematics and E.P.P.3. Information drive by lecturing of Barangay Councilwoman, Chairman, Health and Nutrition Rowena D. Mallari every Monday right after the flag ceremony.4. Conduct survey on nutritional status of pupils and use as basic for feeding the undernourished pupils.5. Conduct feeding for the undernourished pupils through through the effort of the school and the LGU’S.6. The highlight of activities centers on the parade of pupils, teachers and parents of July 30, 2010 and the program on Nutrition.7. Conduct slogan and poster making contest based on the theme.

1. The pupils are enlightened on the values of proper nutrition and it is really effective on themselves physically, mentally and socially.2. Have remediation on the problems of malnutrition.3. Pupils show and feel the spirit of nutrition celebration by bringing fruits,
vegetables, wearing fruit and vegetable costumes during the parade and eating them afterwards.
4. Through programs, they perform beautiful numbers such as songs, dance, poems and the like related to nutrition which are manifestation that they are physically, mentally and socially fit.
Recommendation
The program should continue through out the year. We have to see to it the food served to pupils are nutritious and clean. Feeding Programs will continue and this should be observed by pupils not only in our schools but also in their homes.

PAGDIRIWANG NG BUWAN NG WIKA Agosto 27, 2010
Panimula
Mahihinuhang ang bawat tao ay may sariling wika. Ang wikang ito ang ginagamit niya sa pakikipamuhay sa kanyang mga kalahi. Sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang wika ay naipapahayag niya ang kanyang adhikain, kaisipan, damdamin, saloobin, pangarap, imahinasyon at pagpapasya.
Samakatuwid, masasabing ang wika ang pinakakaluluwa ng isang bansa. Mahalaga ang pagkakaroroon ng wikang sarili, ang wika n g lahi na sumasagisag sa dugong nananalaytay sa katawan ng lipi, wikang maipagmamalaki n gating mamamayan sa buong mundo.
Layunin
Nagagamit ang pamabansang wika sa pakikipagtalastasan.
Nagkakaroon ng pagkakaunawaan ang bawat isa.
Napauunlad at napayayabong an gating kultura.
Nakatutulong sa pangangailangang pambansa upang makabangon mula sa malaking pagdarahop at kahirapan ng ating mamamayan.
Napagtitibay ang bigkis ng damdamin ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan.
Mga Gawain
Ang unang bahagi ng gawain ay pinasimulan sa pamamagitan ng isang parade ni nilahukan ng lahat ng mag-aaral. Sinundan ito ng isang palatuntunan na tinampukan ng talumpati, mga tula at mga katutubong sayaw na ipinakita ng lahat ng bata mula sa una hanggang ikaanim na baiting.
Mababakas sa mukha ng nmga bata ang lubos na kasiyahan sa kanilang ipinamalas na mga bilang. Tunay na kasiya-siya ang pagdiriwang na ito ang Buwan ng Wika.
