IntroductionDave Pflieger, managing director

and CEO of Fiji’s Air Pacific, welcomed several dignitaries to a ceremony celebrating the arrival of the airline’s new Airbus A330, which seats 273 people. The distinguished group gathered at the HAECO Hangar at Hong Kong International Airport, where the wide-bodied aircraft was on display.

About the UnveilingThe ceremony was attended by

the president of Fiji, His Excellency Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, and Hong Kong’s Secretary for Transport and Housing, Professor Anthony Cheung, as well as prominent members of Hong Kong’s travel industry. Also joining Pflieger were executives from Airbus, Rolls-Royce, and Panasonic.

ConclusionHong Kong was chosen as the site of

the aircraft's special “sneak peek,” due to the city’s interest in Fiji as a vacation destination, said Pflieger. After thanking President Nailatikau, Secretary Cheung, and others for attending the historic event, Dave Pflieger said that Air Pacific would strive to provide best-in-class service to the people of Hong Kong on their travels to the Fiji islands.
