Moderne Glass Co. Inc. - Creation of artwork consisting of one to four spot colors for the generation of ceramicdecoration imprints. Using a stat camera for producing positive and negative contact images. Artwork preparation forsilk-screen and decals up to eight colors. Artwork was to be imprinted onto glassware, stemware and ceramic mugs. Firstyear of employment was all board work. My final year was to produce the same artwork using the Macintosh platform.Software used: QuarkXpress and Adobe Illustrator.
Wheeling Closure Co. - Creation and file preparation for multi-color graphics for metal lid imprinting. Lid graphicsgenerated for Skippy peanut butter, Secret deodorant, Maxwell House Coffee and other well known brands. Dutiesincluded the creation of artwork, pre-press operations and all film work. My responsibilities include a vertical statcamera where the artwork was shot into a step and repeat pattern onto negative films. Using an overhead camerathe stepped out negative image was shot onto emulsion sheets of tin. Tins were then used as masters for the printingand manufacturing of metal lids.
