•Initial focus on implementing the collections environment in VITAL/Fedora.•Active, ongoing work toward digital preservation modeling.

• Fedora + VITAL (VTLS)– Combination of open-source development
coupled with vendor support.– Fedora promises greater flexibility, versatility,
ability to communicate with external systems and opportunities for future development.
– Vendor support and enhancements offset our level-of-effort and jump-start the DRS.

• May 24/25: Training• June: Configuration options, test ingests, batch load configuration,
collection preparation, re-book requirements defined.• July: Throughout month re-books re-loaded several times as we
worked though the content model. Finding Aids and StatCat requirements defined.
• Aug: Vital release upgrade; Re-books review/report; Finding aids loads started; Re-book beta at the end of the month.
• Sept: Finding aids review/report; Finding aids beta; StatCat started; Re-book assessment and requirements revision.
• Oct: Repeat from July. New collections from Working Group.
