Hotel website to go mobile: Hilton
Our audience for the mobile website
Business people: usually busy and not obviously at their office, business people are important mobile users, especially to book a room in a hotel
Travellers: rarely at home, those customers do not take their laptops for traveling, they prefer to use their mobile or their tablets instead
Young people: Y and C generations are both mobile and technology friendly, that is why these customers are highly involved in such a « hotel mobile web project »
Guests who book at the last time: with a limited budget, these guests use their mobile to book at the very last minute a room in a hotel, to benefit from the last (and usually most important) discounts.
Essential elements for the mobile experience
Very visual: pictures, short videos Adapted to smaller screens Easy to use: menu bar, different languages, does not need to download a
special program to be read Easy access to the booking option Secured and easy payment option Special attractive and interactive offers: e.g.: play a little game to
win a discount A review and share (via social media) label: with the customers’
opinions and comments Contact label
What we want our audience to do
Business people: book a room easily when they need to, at any time, anywhere
Travellers: book a room, watch pictures and videos, share and read experiences via our review label
Young people: book a room, play the games to benefit from discounts, watch pictures and videos and share it on social media
Guests who book at the last time: book a room, play the games to have discounts

Elements included/excluded
Included Photos: it increases the visibility of the hotels toward customers and potential guests Adapted to smaller screens: dudamobile is specific for mobile websites, thus adaptated Easy to use: dudamobile allows to create simple websites that do not require any downloading Reviews: included to add value to the mobile website
Excluded Secured payment: we wanted to include but too complicated Video: excluded because dudamobile required another version of the Mozilla browser that we did not
have
Is our mobile experience excellent?
Not excellent because some points are missing, but in 2 hours we think we have made good job
