• Ensure that you download and save the tax certificate on your hard disk prior to initiating the process.
• On the right top side of the document, click on the ‘Signature Panel’ button.
• On the left top side of the document, click on the ‘Validate All’ button.

You will be able view the signature on the left bottom of all the pages. Double click on the signature.

Click on ‘Add to Trusted Identities..’ option available under the ‘Trust’ tab and click ‘OK’.

You will be able to see the certification on the first page of the Form 16 as shown in the screen shot above.

If you want to print and use your Form 16, please ensure that you follow the below process steps:
1. Close the saved document after completing the validation process.
2. Open the document
3. Select ‘Signature Panel’ link
4. Select ‘Validate All’ link
5. Click ‘OK’ in the pop-up window
6. You will see the tick mark in the left hand navigation panel
7. Print the form

• It is mandatory that you perform a one-time process for 'Trusting the digital signature'. This process needs to be executed in both part A and part B of the form.
• In future, you can open the Form 16 as any other document without performing any additional task. However, in case you plan to open this document in any other computer, you will have to again perform the authentication process.
• On authentication of the signature you can print and use the Form 16, for filing your income tax returns. Do remember that only authenticated Form 16 will be accepted by Income Tax authorities when you file your tax returns.
