Artist Identity – All Time Low

An important aspect for any band or music group is their artists identity – a way for them to define themselves amongst all other artists when it comes to finding there products online or in a store. The Digipak plays an important part in establishing this. Although they will evolve with their designs they will, at the core, keep the same style. This is so that those who already own one album, will be drawn to the next because of the similarities.

In the next slides different album covers by the band All Time Low are shown as they evolved. The main similarity is the font of their name in the title, and the doodle-like pictures that are captured with it. But also the colours and use of cartoon-like cut outs that are depicted.

Artist Identity. Even when it comes to merchandise

other than the Digipak, such as posters and shirts, the style of the band/ artist can be seen. Whether it be the font, colour scheme, or a certain pattern/ design. It could even be as simple as the lead singer’s face always being shown throughout their commodities. I’ve tried to include this in my own products.

Again, for the poster, I stuck with the two patterns of watercolour stains and branches/ roots for the identifying style, along with the black and white colour scheme. Something that I took as inspiration from the actual album cover of ‘Sinners Never Sleep’.

I also used a photo of the singer from my music video as the lead singers face for part of the identification of the products.

In a way I feel that even my logo matches with the style of the rest of the products. Even though it is against the black and white theme it consists of the same effect that I used on Photoshop when creating the poster and other such photos. But instead of using the branches/roots I used the petal itself as it seems to be ripped away.
