Britney Spears: Greatest Hits- My prerogative

Page 2: Digipack research- Britney Spears

Artist: Britney Spears

Album: Greatest Hits: My Prerogative

Genre: Pop

Text: White, Capitals and it is boxed which makes it stand out. Placed at the top right hand corner, however it is the lady on the cover that grabs the attention. The text is an after thought

Image: Britney on the cover, the attention is drawn to her because she is wearing literally underwear which can broaden the target audience (males) She is wearing a brown bolero with animal fur which could suggest ‘animal instinct and raw talent’ however it holds no reference to the other patterns on the cover.

Setting: The background is very vague, with patterns in the corners which leaves it open to interpretation really, her outfit doesn’t co-ordinate very well with the background this is partially because it seems she wants all the attention on her.

Again the background is very plain, it does the job and gives all the necessary information.

The spine, like the rest of the album is very bland, the color isn't exciting and so it doesn’t draw the consumer in enough, using vibrant and bold colors would not only attract new buyers but make the DVD its self stand out in a shop of thousands
