Function of each feature included on a digipack. The first feature in which was featured on the digipack that I have labelled is the use of a fold out panel. This is so that the lyric/information booklet can be tucked neatly into this fold in the case so that it isn’t likely to fall out and so that the user can keep the CD and all of its extra contents neatly in one case. Another feature used on The XX’s digipack is the inclusion of a lyric/informational booklet. This booklet has been included so that the audience know the song lyrics as they may not be completely audible for all audiences. Also it’s quite easy to think you heard a word being sung when in actual fact it was a completely different lyric. Some audiences also like to read the lyrics back so that can analyse them their selves for personal pleasure and to feel more in touch with the music. The disk featured also follows the same house style as the CD case and the lyric/information booklet. The text is white which is the same colour as the huge X which is featured on the front of the CD cover and the disk itself. Also, the background colour of the lyric/information booklet is black which is the same colour as the background of the disk and the CD case. This digipack also makes use of reoccurring images as the indie/rock band is called ‘The XX’ and therefore X’s are featured throughout the digipack, on the; front cover, disk and the CD pocket.

In terms of the front cover, the X image is once again featured on the front to keep a house style running. The band name is also featured on the spine and the album name is also the same as the artist name, this is why only the band name has been written whereas, conventionally the album name will also be written on the spine. On the back of the album cover, the track list has been written which also follows the same house style as the rest of the digipack. The barcode has also been featured so that this product can legally be sold in stores. At the bottom on the back of the cover, the artist and distributor information has also been included.
