The font used is quite simple but it stands out a lot. This could be to attract people’s attention without being an eye sore.

The colour used on this cover is bright and clean but the sky and Calvin Harris’s socks are the only colourful things. This brightness could be to symbolise the fun, bright and exciting atmosphere that house music creates.

Calvin Harris is featured on the front and this, along with his name, furthers helps the consumer to see that it is a house album. He could also be featured as he is a similar age to his target audience; younger people who are predominantly male.

The design of the cover is very clean and aesthetically pleasing which mirrors his music. The design is simple but like his music the attentional to detail would have been and still is great.

The song titles are underlined which helps them to stand out, this might have been done because people will buy the album based on what songs are featured. It will also help the consumer to recognise it as being house music.

The writing on the back of the CD cover is also white which makes it stand out. The clean crisp font makes it easy to read which is beneficial for the consumer.

The clean and simplistic design is carried onto the back of the cover. However the wider shot gives us a clear view of the suburban, normal area which could have been used to help the consumer relate to Calvin as he is “one of us”.
