Diesel partners with DFS for retail debuts atGuam and Waikiki airports

Diesel has announced two important openings this month in Guam and Waikiki airports.

These openings mark the debut of Diesel’s new partnership with DFS Group.

The collaboration aims to strengthen the brand’s presence in the travel retail business.

The two companies have planned a consistent roll-out plan in the Asia Pacific region, which starts withthe Waikiki opening in mid-August, then Guam at the end of the month, and will continue with a newopening in Cambodia previewed for the end of the year.

Diesel makes its entrance in the two airports with two corners dedicated to the Fall/Winter 2017collection.

Called Forest Grunge, the collection spans apparel and accessories for women and men, with aparticular focus on denim and JoggJeans, an innovative denim for people on the move.

Blue is the key color for jeans and super-soft JoggJeans. This category’s offer changes each seasonwith new fits and washes for the denim, while innovative materials and unique fabrications areincorporated into the JoggJeans.

JoggJeans are described as being as soft and comfortable as a pair of sweatpants, with the highquality and durability of denim.

Forest Grunge is characterized by the raw energy of 90s alternative rock with a grunge style as wellas a trucker style recalling the feel of American vintage.

Diesel Artistic Director Nicola Formichetti explained: “Fall/Winter is about the energy of grunge in theforest at night time, the spirit of rock ’n’ roll is nocturnal and being surrounded by nature after darkcan be a strange experience. A lot of crazy things can happen.”
