Upon arrival, we will drive to the Muong Thanh Hotel for check in. After lunch, we begin our exploration of the battlefield with a visit to the Dien Bien Phu Military Museum to familiarize ourselves with the siege by studying the course of the battle using maps and sand tables. We continue on to see Hill A-1 and Independence Hill. Hotel: Muong Thanh (B/L/D) Day Two: We start our day with a visit to Noong Nhai village. We continue on to see a tribal vil- lage at Him Lam and some of the northern Vietnamese culture. Day 1: Hanoi—Siem Reap – Arrival. Pick up from hotel in Hanoi and transfer to airport for flight. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, meet and transfer to hotel for check in. Visit to the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang ("The Royal Baths"), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mys-tery. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Him-alayan mountain-lake) and Preah Khan Temple. Hotel: Tara Angkor (D)

Day 2: Siem Reap Tour. In the morning, visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century), the South Gate with its huge statues depict-ing the churning of the ocean of the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant followed by visits to the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat, this huge temple complex which is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Then we continue to visit some of the Khmer Rouge Genocide sites: minefield, the Killing Fields, and Arms Museum. We then continue to view a wonderful sunset from Pre Rup Temple. Day 3: Siem Reap – Hanoi Today we board on boat in Tonle Sap Lake, the "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia. We enjoy a brief cruise past floating villages complete with schools, restaurants, markets and hospi-tals. Lunch at local restaurant. Then transfer to Siem Reap Airport for flight to Hanoi. Laos Vietnam Post Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Luang Prabang. A/C car pick up guest from hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Noi Bai airport for flight to Luang Prabang International Airport for transfer to your hotel. After you have had time to rest and freshen up we will head off to see some of the highlights of Luang Prabang including a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts from the Royal period. Next is the city’s oldest temples, the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its classical Lao architecture, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham. From there we will climb to the top of Mount Phousi to explore the sacred gilded stupa and to enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the sun setting over the Mekong River. As we descend the mountain your will find yourself in the midst of the famous Luang Prabang Night

Day2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou cave – Khouangsi Waterfall. This morning you have the option to rise early and participate in the daily morning ritual of Alms Giving, you will experi-ence saffron-clad monks collecting offerings or ‘Alms’ from faithful local residents. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the daily procession. After breakfast back at the hotel, we begin our journey to Khouangsi Waterfall stopping along the way to visit the morning Phousi Market, this where all locals of Luang Prabang come to do their daily shopping. You will see a variety of local foodstuffs and products including dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among everything needed for daily life in Laos. On arrival at the Khouangsi Waterfall you will have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the topaz pools below the falls, walk along the forest trails and visit the Bear Sanctuary. You will also enjoy a picnic lunch below the falls. Upon return to Luang Prabang we board our private boat for a pleasant and scenic cruise up on the Mekong River to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves.

These caves are an ancient pilgrimage site and contain thousands of gold lacquered Buddha images left there over hundreds of years. Returning to Luang Prabang we disembark our boat and have the option of taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving.
