Ganz am Anfang, da war keine Menschen. Kein Tieren. Kein Pflanzen. Da war nur Gott.

The Bible tells us that “God is love” (1 John 4:8). He is the all-powerful Spirit of love who created the universe and brought us all into being.

In the beginning, there were no people. No animals. No flowers. There was only God.

Dann sprach Gott: "Es werde Licht!" Und das Licht entstand.

Da trennte Gott das Licht von der Finsternis. Das Licht nannte er "Tag" und die Finsternis "Nacht".

God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light.

God divided the light from the darkness. He called the light day and the darkness night.

Am zweiten Tag, sprach Gott: "Im Wasser soll eine Wölbung entstehen, eine Trennung zwischen den Wassermassen!" So geschah es auch.

On the second day, God said, “Let the waters be divided, and let there be sky.” And that is what happened.

Am dritten Tag, sprach Gott: "Die Wassermassen unter dem Himmel sollen sich an einer Stelle sammeln. Das Land soll zum Vorschein kommen."

Dann sprach Gott: "Die Erde lasse Gras hervorsprießen. Pflanzen und Bäume jeder Art.“

On the third day, God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered together so that dry land will appear.” And it happened.

Then God said, “Let the earth grow grass, plants and fruit trees.”

Am vierten Tag, Gott machte die beiden großen Lichter: das Sonne, das den Tag regiert, und das Mond für die Nacht; und dazu die Sterne.

On the fourth day, God made two great lights. He made the sun for the day and the moon for the night. He also made the stars.

Am fünfte Tag, schuf Gott die großen Seeungeheuer und Wesen aller Art, von denen die Wasser wimmeln, dazu alle Arten von geflügelten Tieren. Gott sah es an und es war gut.

Da segnete Gott seine Geschöpfe: "Seid fruchtbar und vermehrt euch und füllt das Wasser in den Meeren! Und auch ihr Vögel, vermehrt euch auf der Erde!"

On the fifth day, God created all the many living things in the sea and the birds that fly in the air. And God saw that this was good.

God then blessed all the living things in the sea and told them to have many babies and fill the seas. He also blessed the birds on land and told them to have many more babies.

Am sechste Tag, sprach Gott: "Die Erde soll alle Arten von Lebewesen hervorbringen: Herdenvieh und wilde Tiere und alles, was kriecht!" So geschah es.

On the sixth day, God said “Let there be all kinds of animals – wild animals, tame animals and small creatures.” And that is what happened.

Dann schuf Gott ein Mann und eine Frau, und segnete sie.

Then God made a man and a woman, and blessed them.

Und Gott ruhte am siebten Tag von seinem ganzen Werk, das er gemacht hatte.

On the seventh day, God rested from all His work.
