No – these Great Men inspired hundreds of people to believe in their wild plans and follow them – on foot! … Yet the history books remembers just the main man. When you seek to inspire people to follow you, what is the story you tell about yourself and your project? How do you do that? Are you very factual? Are you dramatic? How do you engage you audience? This experiential and interactive session aims to develop awareness around your default silo-zone, and share how to expand your style from informational to inspirational … with a bit of resilience. Didi HopkinsDidi Hopkins works as actress, theatre director, theatre maker, trainer, tympanist, three-ton-truck driver and project manager. She was instrumental in the preparation of the National Theatre’s production of One Man, Two Guvnors, and is a leading exponent of commedia dell’arte. As a senior member of the National Theatre’s Theatre Works team, Didi has been instrumental in designing, developing and delivering training to link needs of the business environment with the currency of theatre, working with leading global organizations across the private, public and social sectors. She has recently created three ongoing training programmes for an NT client: Sales as Storytelling, The Language of Leadership, and Presence in Presentations. Through Theatre4Business, Didi is Visiting Faculty at Cranfield’s Executive Development Centre, Praxis, and contributes to the MBA and other leadership programmes. Didi created an element of Professor Susan Vinnicombe’s Women as Leaders programme, running at Cranfield and in-house for companies. She is a regular contributor to programmes at Said, HEC and Insead business schools, and at IMD is part of a team from Dramatic Resources who run presentation and negotiation modules on open and company courses.
