Today was a horrendous day. Never did I think I would be subject to such humiliation and cruelty at the hands of others. Never did I think I would feel so vulnerable. I understood that the boys needed to make a fire, but was it really necessary to take my glasses from me to do this? I was particularly hurt by Ralph’s lack of understanding. He really does not understand how much I rely on my glasses, without them I am as blind as a bat. It seemed that all he cared about was taking charge! He rarely listens to me and shows a complete lack of respect. Despite this, I still support him and want us all to be safe and eventually be rescued so we can return to our families.
