Use/relationship: An Installation Completion Notification (ICN) is used to report field accomplishment of retrofit changes by contractor personnel as required by an approved Engineering Change Proposal (ECP). The notification is provided to the Government when the Government is maintaining the configuration status accounting information for the configuration of units in the operational inventory.

a. The reporting of the installation of retrofit kits in the field by the contractor during the acquisition phase and prior to the end of operational test and evaluation is required to verify the status of delivered configuration items subsequent to Government product acceptance.

b. This DID contains the format, content, and intended use information for the data deliverable resulting from the work task described in paragraph 3.4.1 (5) of EIA-649-1 and the principles of EIA-649.

c. This DID supersedes DI-CMAN-81245A.

Requirements:

1. Reference Documents. The applicable issue of the documents cited herein, including their approval dates and dates of any applicable amendments, notices, and revisions, shall be as specified in the contract.

2. Format. The ICN shall be prepared in Supplier format.

3. Content. The ICN shall identify:

a. The retrofit instruction implemented and ECP.

b. The configuration item or top assembly modified.

c. The part identifier and serial numbers of part modified/replaced.

d. The part identifier and serial number of part
