Vice President of Artistic Development: This is a great role for someone who enjoys organizing the monthly musical programs. The job involves putting concerts together, either alone or with help with the help of other club members. Almost all of our pro-grams are now held at the Downers Grove Library, which will make this job easier to manage.

If you think one of these positions may be right for you, whether you are a longstanding member or new to the DGMC, please contact Sarah Flanagan at [email protected] or 630-968-0105 to discuss them in more detail. Or if you want to help the board in an-other way, please let us know. We can always use willing people.

DGMC seeks board members for 2016-17 program year Are you interested in serving on the Downers Grove Music Club board? Our Nominating Committee (Sarah Flanagan, chair, Alice Cummings and Charlotte Ewing) is preparing a slate of candidates for the April elections.

A number of positions are opening up for the next club year. Please read the descriptions below and consider whether one of these roles would be a good fit for you.

Treasurer: Our treasurer manages the club finances on a monthly basis, keeping an eye on the budget and balancing the check book. The DGMC is a 501c3 organization, so some tax prep is also involved. If you take on this position, our current treasurer, Cindy Jensen, will work with you to help you learn the job.
