So whats up everyone, geeks, nerds and respective Pokemon trainers alike. ChrisWolf90 here with another top list. And a very personal favorite video game topic and that is Pokemon. For those who grew with Pokemon should know by now that nowadays Pokemon is one of the most memorable and well known RPG games since the 90’s.

Now many are whether to debate that Pokemon is really for stuff for kids which I have to beg to disagree. Not every pokemon game is for only kids. most of them are played by adults.

Some people also have their personal favorite pokemon. Some trainers have unique strategies. Some like it hard and some like it soft. But there always a pokemon that everyone loves the most and there are countless pokemon to choose from and counting because generation VII is on the way and I actually can’t wait to see more pokemon so I can study em. Like every other Pokemon nerds out there.

so to celebrate for generation 7 as it is on the way, let's talk about my PERSONAL top 5 most favorite pokemon. Since I can’t do a top 50 or top 100 because it will take too long and I have other projects to finish or most of you can assume I am too lazy.

Now before we get down to the list. Here are the rules.

1: I will be judging the pokemon by its design, base stats, Move pool, etc.

2: the pokemon I will be listing here are my opinions and I should expect all of you to respect my opinion and not bash me for my opinions doesn’t agree with yours that includes fanboys of any kind, it's immature and annoying, also not to mention, overdramatic.

3: if you happen to not like these pokemon I’ll be listing, do not take it personally and do not be an ass about it. If you don’t agree with my list feel free to list your personal favorite pokemon in the comments below. Also do not spam or put harsh troll comments all over the comment sections, just to get a reaction out of me. I am not fucking Chris-Chan and No one wants that.

So without any further a due. Let the countdown begin.

#5: Pokedex entry #530: Excadrill

Kicking off this list possibly one of the most powerful and the most Dangerous Pokemon in Generation V is a actual mole Pokemon, Excadrill and not a Dick with 3 circles. Excadrill a Steel and Ground type pokemon with a base stat total of 508 and is a physical and high speed pokemon. More specifically his highest stat is his attack and second most highest stat is his speed, making him a sweeper pokemon. However the reason why Excadrill is this low on the list is because he is banned in tournaments. How can that be? Why is he Banned in tournaments?

Well, here’s why; the reason why Excadrill is so dangerous is because of one of his abilities: Sand rush, which doubles the speed stat while in a sandstorm. Now the highest speed state that Excadrill can go up to is 302. Sounds above average in pokemon standard in terms of speed. But here's the thing though, if you have a sand rush Excadrill with maximum speed stat. You are guaranteed to attack first every time with the exception with pokemon using me first or Fake out. A Max Speed stat Sand rush Excadrill in a sandstorm will increase his maximum speed stat of...get this, 604...let me repeat that; HIS MAXIMUM SPEED STAT INCREASE IN A SANDSTORM TO 604!

This makes the Sand Rush Excadrill the Fastest Pokemon in the entire pokemon franchise! And combined with his insane physical attack stat with a recommended held items such as a king’s rock, and because of typing he is immune to poison and paralysis, you are guaranteed to unleash hell on your opponents. Its this very broken ability which is why it is banned in tournaments and also why he is this low on the list. You know what I think? I think another pokemon that should be banned in tournaments and that pokemon is Eelektross. Because not only he has no weakness due to him being pure electric type which doesn’t make any sense at all because of his Pre-evolutions looks like a water and Electric type pokemon by its design based off a electric eel and combined with Ground type attacks will not work because of it’s ability, Levitate which makes ground type moves no effect on it at all, therefore there is no way to land a super effective hit.

Getting off topic here let's get back on topic. Final verdict, Very badass Pokemon in terms of design and very dangerous pokemon with the most broken ability and insane status ailment coverage in general in terms of inside of tournaments which is understandable.

4: Pokedex Entry #637: Volcarona,

& Pokedex Entry #492: Shaymin

Coming in the next spot on this list is a tie of Volcarona and Shaymin. Now before you Generation one fanboys start attacking me from all angles saying.

“What the fuck, man?! You chose that uncreative moth Pokemon and that long ear winged faggot on this list?! I hope you fucking die. jump off a fucking cliff, you fucking faggot!”

Well first off, this is my list and not yours. Second you’ve been praising Generation I way too much as if it is your savior and furthermore I disagree the whole term of “uncreativity” or “unoriginality” of Volcarona and Shaymin being on my list because it's automatically assume as being cute. I know you guys claim that the previous generation of Pokemon sucks, which I have to also beg to disagree because not all the pokemon in the previous Generation of 4 through 6 are not that bad at all. Hell most of the new pokemon such as Greninja does look awesome and yes some pokemon does look bad but as they say, Never judge a book by its cover. or to put it simple and blunt terms of my own, I don’t care. As long its a pokemon game and it's playable, I find value in it no matter what critics or fanboys would say.

Now if I may continue on my list. Let's start off with Volcarona’s design and base Stat total.First off it's an awesome looking Moth Pokemon despite being a Semi-pseudo Legendary Pokemon base of a being that replaces the Sun through a Volcanic ash that darkens the Atmosphere. Hence its Classification name “ The Sun Pokemon!” No I am not kidding, that is what the pokedex entry reads! Here, I’ll read it right here to prove my point.

“When volcanic ash darkened the atmosphere, it is said that Volcarona’s fire provided a replacement for the sun”

That alone got Volcarona this spot on this list to begin with in terms of Concept design. Now Volcarona’s Base stat Total of 550 with its signature highest stat being Special attack with the maximum of 405. That is fucking impressive for a fire moth Pokemon! But it also has it signature move which is obtained by leveling it up to level 100, Fiery Dance, a fire type special attack move that may raise the user's Special attack Stat by 1 level. And combined with it’s other move, Quiver Dance, which is a stat buff move which increases the the user’s Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed.

Holy Shit this is one Moth pokemon that Game freak finally pulled off. In terms of Concept design, impressive move set, and not to mention it can be interacted with if you travel deep within the Relic Castle. And if you manage the catch and raise it well, you have really grown out your beard. now compare to other moth or butterfly pokemon they usually not that strong, with the exception of Venomoth because of its large spore status ailment attacks.

Now onto Shaymin, yes I know Shaymin is a legendary but a very impressive if not adorable in term of design based off, what I can safely assume a hedgehog. Now no, i am placing this little guy on the list because of its cuteness, it's beyond that. Shaymin is Classified as the Gratitude Pokemon with base stat total of 600 in both of his two forms, yes Shaymin has two forms. Both its forms is known as Land forme and Sky forme. However Land Forme Shaymin is mostly the the pure balance of the two of its forms all of its Stats up reaching to maximum of 328 with exception of its HP maximum stat to 404.

However it’s Sky Forme alters not only its typing by giving him a grass and flying type status but also altering its stats which it’s stats now specialize in Special Attack stat of up to maximum of 372 and and most specialized Speed Stat of 388.

But what really makes Shaymin very unique and how it got it spot on this list, is it abilities it has in its Land and Sky Forme respectfully and it’s Signature Move.

First Shaymin’s Land Forme ability, Natural Cure, is an ability when if Shaymin withdraws back into its ball after being afflicted with a status ailment such as Paralysis or Poison, Shaymin is instantly healed from the ailments. Now on to the Sky Forme ability, Serene Grace. Which increases the chances of the secondary effect of a move by double.

Now as for it signature More, Seed Flare, a grass type special attack move with wopping 120 Special attack power. Not only that, it also may harshly decrease the Special defense stat of the opposing Pokemon and combined that with the Sky Forme Shaymin Serene Grace ability, you are most likely going to damage and weakened your opponent severely because of it.

However the only problem I have with Shaymin’s Sky forme is that it can only be active after giving it a gracidea flower during the day time but at night time it reverts back into its Land forme. A very minor and nitpicking complaint but I don’t care. Shaymin is pretty good pokemon in fact I shouldn’t have placed it over Volcarona. But Volcarona also takes this spot and should be higher than Shaymin because of its insane stats and move pool of attacks which I completely forgot to mention.

3: Pokedex entry #386: Deoxys

Gen 3 legendary Pokemon eh? Well I’m not complaining except for the Generation 1 fanboys that are now throwing rage comments and possibly death threats at me because my opinion doesn’t agree with theirs.But now I am done screwing around let's get busy. Deoxys is possibly one of the most unique Legendary Pokemon in all of Hoenn if not the entire pokemon universe. Allow me to explain.

Unlike Shaymin and Volcarona in the previous Entry, Deoxys’s concept design is beyond pretty damn Impressive. Game freak literally went all out on this pokemon and crank up their creativity factor level up to fucking level 3 tier of impressiveness. (That makes no sense on what i am saying. But you get my point.)

So what is its concept that got it on the list to begin with. Well instead of being based off of mythological creatures or urban legend beings. Deoxys is based of a genetic coding found in cellular organisms, deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA for short. Because of this its physiology is

based upon our genetic compound and merge it with the representation of alien and visual representation of a DNA double helix.

MIND. FUCKING. BLOWNED!!

That alone got this pokemon already high on my list right off the bat. I can see why Fawful’s Minion say this is his favorite hoenn legendary pokemon. It became my favorite too however it's not just because the beyond genius concept behind it but also because of its numerous forms it can change into, allowing you as its trainer to change your strategy to what form you want your deoxys to change into.

While Shaymin has a total of 2 forms that can alternate depending whether or not you gave it the gracidea flower and if it's night or day, Deoxys can transform into 4 very powerful forms and each form it changes into drastically alter its stats. Not only that but each of its various forms it changes into results with most powerful uber stats in pokemon history.

First off it’s a Psychic type and its base stat total is 600, same as Shaymin’s base stat total. But it doesn’t matter anyway.

Normal forme Deoxys is suppose to be the most balance of the 4 forms with some of its offensive and speed stats reaching up to 438 and defensive stats only reaching to 218. Sounds disappointing at first but it's the rest of the forms that takes the cake.

Attack Forme Deoxys being the ultimate sweeper and it is incredibly fast. With its highly offensive stats, Attack and Special attack stats, reaching up to maximum of 504! Sounds ridiculously powerful but there is a downside to this, Attack Forme Deoxys has the lowest defensive capabilities of any pokemon, both its defense and special defense stats reaching up to 152. Meaning it will most likely take most the damage, becoming crippled if not will get KO'd in one shot unless Deoxys is holding a focus sash. So the best solution is to utilize his sweeping glass cannon skills and not get too greedy or careless because of its insane power.

Then there’s Defense Forme Deoxys has the most highest defensive capabilities that rivals Shuckle’s and Lugia’s defenses, reaching up to maximum of 460, and shocking enough that this form is the most balanced of the 4 forms. Not only that but its defense is also the highest of all Psychic type pokemon including legendaries.

And last but not least, Speed forme Deoxys with the exception of Sand Rush Excadrill is the fastest Pokemon in history, with its speed stat almost rivaling its previous mentioned Attack Forme by two stat points, Speed forme Deoxys specialized maximum stats reaching up to 504. Outclassing Ninjask and any other fast pokemon in terms of speed.

Deoxys is a very unique pokemon that you must have in your party, combined with unbelievable concept design, alternating its 4 forms to change your strategy either you want a Ultimate sweeper or Absolute Defense, whichever your choice. And his battle theme, both in the original and remake of 3rd gen games, is perfect for this pokemon due the fact it is an ACTUAL alien pokemon. Oh yeah one more thing, in its pokedex entries, the forms in order, Defense, Normal, Attack, and Speed, spells out DNAS. What a paradox!

#2: Pokedex entry #150: Mewtwo

Okay look, I know I am gonna get more generation 1 fan boys breaking down my front door and backyard sliding glass door trying to get a hold of me so they can rip my head off and have my head on one of their pikes for basically not adding their “immune to everything” Dragonite or their bonafide badass Charizard into the mix but now I am gonna have people questioning why is Mewtwo higher than Deoxys. yes I know, Deoxys in its Attack Forme trumps over Mewtwo in terms of attack. And yes I blew that previous entry way out of proportion and shot my competitive argument in the foot, But please hear me out and let me give my really honest opinion.

As much I like Deoxys in terms of very intelligent concept and design and changing forms to utilized which strategy that fits you. Mewtwo has been well known throughout each generation, ever since his very first appearance in Generation 1 which around the time, psychic types have been heavily criticized as the most powerful types in that very first generation rivaling with dragon types due to them being very powerful, and very hard to raise and level up and have very few weakness such as ice types, and basically Dark types wasn’t Introduced until the Gen 2 games, Gold, Silver, and Crystal, was released.  

So That's one of the Reasons why Mewtwo is on this list. A very powerful pokemon that is created by man and sent out to destroy not just the laboratory that was created in but also its researchers and now was on hellbent to destroy the world until it had a change of heart when Ash become petrified. Being a clone of the innocent and cute legendary pokemon, Mew,

Mewtwo is possibly the most destructive and killer machine in any pokemon series, and that's only covering up his role in one of the two pokemon movies he starred in before generation 2 ever came out and not to mention he made it into other crossover video games such as Super Smash Bros. games and pokemon spin offs.

Now being the 2nd most powerful pokemon because of Arceus, Mewtwo has possibly the 2nd most highest stat base total of 680, and mostly specialize in heavily offensive stats, which is Special Attack stat, reaching up to maximum 447. Yes it’s still not enough to get pass Attack Forme Deoxys 504 heavy offense stats, HOWEVER remember I said that attack Forme Deoxys trumps over Mewtwo’s offense stats? Well the reason why Deoxys is booted to the number 3 spot Because of two reasons; the First reason is Mewtwo as very wide move pool and TM and HM slave, granting him a lot of moves to select from. And the second reason is that Mewtwo is one of the few Legendaries in the pokemon franchise that can MEGA EVOLVE.

And in fact Mewtwo has not one but TWO mega Evolution forms depending on the respective versions of Generation 6 game you have. And don’t forget, mega evolution also increases the base stat total of each pokemon that can mega evolve by 100 so that means for Mewtwo’s case, its Base state total will increases to a whopping 780! not only that but also mega evolution can also change the type or add an additional type of which pokemon you wish to mega evolve. Also consider this as a warning rather than a fact is that Mega evolution can only be active on one pokemon at a time and you can only use mega evolution once per battle with the exception of primal reversion of Groudon from Omega Ruby or Kyogre from Alpha Sapphire.

X Form Mega Mewtwo gains an additional type of fighting, therefore making Mega Mewtwo X a Psychic and Fighting type pokemon, giving it effective types advantages towards, Dark, Rock, Steel and Ice types. however that also means is vulnerable to Flying and Fairy types. Mega Mewtwo X trumps Deoxys and not even in its Attack Form stand no chance no chance now because its physical attack stat is increased to 526! That means Mewtwo now has a fighting advantage towards Deoxys. However we haven’t even covered Mega Mewtwo Y yet because he’s even more powerful than his Mega Evolution X form. How can that be?

Simple Mega Mewtwo Y Maximum special attack stat is 535, Let me say that again; MEGA MEWTWO Y MAXIMUM SPECIAL ATTACK STAT IS 535!!  That means if it has ANY special attack moves such as Aura Sphere, Hyper Beam, Focus Blast, etc. Attack forme Deoxys will most likely be mopping the floor with its face. However normal Mewtwo will still a fighting chance against Deoxys because of one vital reason. Due to Mewtwo defensive and special defense is around the 300 range in terms of being maximum level, which means Mewtwo will still have disadvantage due to Deoxys in its Attack forme having higher attack and special attack stats than Mewtwo’s. BUT because Attack Forme Deoxys has extremely weak defense

capabilities, Mewtwo alone will most likely wipe out attack forme Deoxys first before it could KO Mewtwo if Mewtwo survives the first Blow even from Deoxys signature move, Psycho Shift which is a devastating Psychic type Special attack but at the severe cost of using it harshly decreasing the user's Special attack stats.

The problem with this Match up to see who gets the higher entry is that both Mewtwo and Deoxys are both Psychic type pokemon and they’re both Legendaries. Some may argue that Deoxys had appear in one of the pokemon that features it, but like I said Mewtwo has been Starred in two of the pokemon movies and unlike Deoxys, throughout those two movies Mewtwo obtain a major character development, went from wanting to destroy the world to actually wanting to save it, he went from to despising humans to questioning them, debating whether or not if Humans really are black and cold hearted as they claim to be until he found an answer.

While Deoxys, according the movie it starred in, just enter the planet seeking another Deoxys (Spoiler alert to those who didn’t see the movie). it was immediately treated with hostility by Rayquaza because it trespass the ozone layer that Rayquaza inhabits in and it was mistaken as a threat.

So while Deoxys is still a good pokemon regardless, but mewtwo is better in terms of character development, it's insane move pool and TM and HM slave and of course it's mega evolution strength and design.

Now before we get to number one let's take look at some honorable mentions.

Honorable Mention Number 1: The Eeveelution Line.

The Eeveelution line is by far the most impressive pokemon line. Having Eevee the most cute pokemon imaginable but it's not just its Cuteness that makes it honorable but because Eevee’s

evolution gene is completely unstable, Eevee can evolve into 8 different pokemon depending in the situation and following met conditions. While the generation 1 Eeveelutions (Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon) can be evolved by evolution stones. Generation 2 Eeveelution (Espeon and Umbreon) can only be evolved if your friendship with Eevee has maximum friendship and raise its level during the Day or Night. Generation 4 Eeveelution (Leafeon and Glaceon) is similar but the condition to evolve it into one if these pokemon is to level Eevee up in certain Locations of Sinnoh. Then there is Generation 6 Eeveelution (Sylveon) that can only evolve with same Conditions as Generation 2, but this time make sure it has at least a fairy type move in its move set with maximum friendship before raising its level.

While each of the Eeveelution Line is pretty impressive since they not only posses pretty good stats and unique abilities. They also posses a unique Move pool set. for example Jolteon is the only Pokemon in the Eeveelution line that can learn Double kick and Pin Missile which at it’s time at Generation 1 is considered the best way to take down Psychic types with little to no effort due to the only Weakness that Psychic is only inferior to are Bug types.

Now they wouldn’t been on the list because of the limitless options to choose which Eeveelution you wish to have. But the due to the fact in Pokemon Yellow that your rival, Blue (or Gary for those who are also fans of the anime, as well.) gets an Eevee which will give him many options to evolve it to what Eeveelution he chooses, while you are stuck with Pikachu and worst of all, you can’t evolve it. Not only that is completely unfair but also what ruined it. A minor but irksome complaint. But I have my reasons. (One of them is I’ve never played pokemon yellow) Now lets just hope they add more Eeveelution types in the next Generation. Hell if they can get Arceus to switch to whatever types depending on what Plate it’s holding. I’m sure they give Eevee more evolutions to choose from. Speaking of Arceus…

Honorable Mention number 2: Pokedex Entry # 493: Arceus.

Arceus as being mentioned as before the most Powerful Pokemon while Mewtwo being the second most Powerful and another mostly well known Legendary. Arceus is a Normal Type with a base state total 720. For a legendary WITHOUT mega evolution I mind you, that is unbelievable and given what it’s origin is based on, it deserves to have such very high Base stat total and it also has one of the best of best legendary abilities that No other legendary pokemon could ever have; Multitype which is an Ability that changes its type depending on which plate you give it and with it’s level 100 signature attack move, Judgement which it's the most powerful move fit for the god Pokemon itself, is a Normal type Special attack with 100 special attack points and 100 Accuracy points with it’s additional Feature that it can change it’s type depending on which Plate that the user of the attack (which is Arceus due to it being the only legendary that can use that move thanks to his multitype ability). And among all the other Legendaries. Arceus is the most balance of all Legendaries with all Maximum balance stat total of 372.

Consider the Fact that Land forme Shaymin has similar pure balance stats as Arceus only reaching to 328 balance stat total, Arceus still surpasses Shaymin due to it having higher balance stats than Shaymins. And typing advantages doesn’t help either since due to the fact that Arceus is a default pure normal type, that is without giving him any elemental type plates therefore its only weakness it is inferior to is Fighting types and it is completely immune to Ghost types. While Shaymin in its land forme is pure grass type meaning it weak against several other types, being Fire, Flying, Ice and Bug types and its Sky forme, being a Grass and Flying type did actually give him coverage against those nuisance Flying and Bug types but it is now vulnerable to Electric and Rock types and now double weakness to Ice types.

Now the biggest argument of all is that Fawful's Minion did accuse Arceus as being a goat and other people saying that Arceus is based off of the Christian God because of there is a rumor going on is that Arceus is based off of god himself and Giratina being based off of Satan.

Sadly that is not true and the rumor is debunked. Despite Giratina’s devilish and ghost appearance with its 6 wings, 6 claws, and 6 limbs are pretty strong evidence that it could be based off of the devil, however in Arceus’s case it’s not. Yes it is true that Arceus is based off of god but however though it is not based of the Christian god. What Arceus is really Based off of is the Creator Deity which was preset in other World Cultures. More specifically, Japanese God Culture, where it was born in the world of nothingness as an Egg. A story from the Japanese culture’s point of view. which makes perfect sense since due to that Pokemon was first made from Japan, and then release first to Japan, and the region that Arceus is introduced in, Sinnoh, is based off of the Northern Japanese Island of Hokkaido. (Big huge shout out to GaleForce3198 for the Sinnoh Region information!) now as for its physiology appearance, it is based off a Quilin, A chinese mythological hooved Chimerical creature known in Chinese and other east asian cultures.

Now on the two reasons why Arceus is not on my list. The first reason is because Arceus is a mystery gift event Legendary, meaning the only way to actually get a hold of Arceus is through items sent through Mystery Gift and you need to have the mystery gift option unlocked which can only be shown on the main menu on the title screen. But sadly due the event being long passed you can’t get the item you need to access the Arceus and the Hall of Origins event. So unless you cheat via Action Replay or other game cheating emulators such as the Game Shark. You will never get him.

And the second reason and most of you would probably agree with me, is that Arceus is just too powerful despite being a Gen IV Legendary, because of its ridiculous balanced stats and insane move pool, which I forgot to mention again. Need to clear that up first. besides its OP signature move, Judgement, his move pool set contains the following moves he’ll learn; Punishment, Perish Song, Earth Power, Gravity, Cosmic Power, and Seismic Toss. This means Arceus will most likely have gain access to most majority of type coverage moves.

With all that being said, Arceus despite being a very creative Pokemon and heavily well known. It's too powerful and unless you cheat or have other methods of getting him in the later Generation games like X and Y or Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire WITHOUT CHEATING, you will never get him AT ALL.

Honorable mention #3: Pokedex entry #059: Arcanine.

If I could pick any of the canine Pokemon whether is it’s Mightyena, Manectric, or Arcanine. Arcanine takes the Cake and incinerates it and smear onto its Opponents face till it leaves 2nd degree burns. Because of its Regal Appearance, Arcanine is the symbol of Beauty but in my eyes I see a true warrior. Despite not being pseudo legendary or Semi-Pseudo Legendary. Arcanine, a Pure Fire type pokemon with base stat total of 555, with powerhouse stats of maximum Attack stat of 350, Maximum Special attack of 328 and Maximum speed stat of 312.And despite having very Low Move pool set unless you decided to evolve its Pre-evolution form, Growlithe with a Fire stone too early and take it to a special Move Tutor which give it very

unique moves such as Outrage, Heat wave (which is also it’s egg move), Double Kick and Close Combat.

Now with stats and moveset like that, it should be considered at least a Pseudo-Legendary, but sadly it’s not. And just because its Classification name is “The Legendary Pokemon” doesn’t actually mean it is literally a Legendary. Believe me I bet a lot of people who encounter Arcanine in Gen 1 for the first time and looked at it’s Classification name and mistaken it as a legit Legendary. You wanna know why it was given that Classification name? its because of its Pokedex entries. I read a couple of entries for you.

Gold’s and Heart Gold’s entry: “This legendary Chinese Pokémon is considered magnificent. Many people are enchanted by its grand mane.”

Black and White’s: entry: “Its proud and regal appearance has captured the hearts of people since long ago.” (obviously, from my perspective, referring to since it’s very first appearance in Gen 1)

Y’s Entry: “Its magnificent bark conveys a sense of majesty. Anyone hearing it can't help but grovel before it.”

And if that isn’t enough Strong enough evidence then let me explain how can a Pokemon, Like Dragonite for example gain a Pseudo-Legendary or FALSE legendary Status. Compare to Legendaries, Pseudo Legendaries have at least 600 or higher Base stat total and has maximum Experience of 1,250,000 at level 100 and they have a 3 stage evolution and have genders while actual Legendaries are genderless.

Now Semi-Pseudo Legendaries has similar Characteristics as Pseudo Legendaries However Semi Pseudo Legendaries, Volcarona for example, are strong and rare pokemon but it fail to qualify as a Pseudo Legendary Pokemon due to a number of factors.

One of those factors is that Volcarona has a 2 stage evolution while Dragonite has 3 Evolution stages. And the other factor is that Volcarona base stat total is under 600.

With that Being Said, it should be argued that Arcanine can be counted as at least a semi Pseudo Legendary Because of two factors, one it has the same maximum experience gain requirement to reach level 100. But has a base stat total 555 which is close but still under the 600 base stat total.

Now but what couldn’t have gotten it on my list is what it’s based on. Arcanine it is based on the Haetae, a mythical fire-eating dog. However though it's also focus and based on the Ryukyuan, a mythical creatures inspired by lions, tigers, and dogs. Which is how it got its lion like mane and tiger stripes and has canine Features to it.

Either way Arcanine is one canine you don’t want to piss off, behind that beauty and regal appearance is true warrior and deserves a well known honorable mention and the final honorable mention.

Now the long wait is over, what Pokemon could possibly top Mewtwo, Deoxys, Volcarona, Shaymin, or Excadrill? What could even get pass the honorable mentions?

It’s simple. There is another tie between two pokemon. both of them are Semi Pseudo Legendaries and they have played their roles in their respective Pokemon Movies. In fact one of those pokemon has been well known before generation 4 wasn’t even announced in the US yet. But I’ll save him for last because I have A LOT to talk about him. Let's get started on the first number 1 spot and it goes to….

*drum roll*

#1-2: Pokedex entry #571: Zoroark!

Words cannot describe how much I like this pokemon. Despite being the 2nd gen 5 pokemon on my list. Zoroark deserves every praise she gets. And yes I said she because the Zoroark I own is a female. Yeah…

But anyways allow me to explain what got Zoroark on my list as being in the spot in Number one as the other pokemon? Well first off Zoroark is a pure Dark type sweeper Pokemon, with a base stat total of 510. With a special attack stat as her speciality with maximum special attack stat of 372. She does have high attack and speed stats as well, both reaching up to a maximum of 339.

Now she may not be as strong as being a physical attacker but that's where her Signature move and ability comes in. Zoroark’s Signature, Night daze, a very powerful version of dark pulse with more special attack power and more accuracy with the addition of a chance to lower the opposing pokemon accuracy instead of making it flinch. And her ability is possibly one of my most favorite abilities of them all. In fact Zoroark is possibly the ONLY semi-Pseudo legendary that can have such an ability. That ability is Illusion, which allows the pokemon to transform into the pokemon in the sixth slot of your party until it gets hit. This makes Zoroark ability so useful because it causing your opponent to get confused and throw em off track.

Hell if you want even more proof that Zoroark is one tough beautiful S.O.B, N, one of your sworn rivals and possibly my most favorite rival from gen V has a Zoroark in his party during the final fight with him in the original Black and White. Not only that N is possibly the ONLY rival if not the only trainer in the entire game who owns a Zoroark due to it being a event only pokemon.

What is also unique about Zoroark is that due to being a Illusion Fox pokemon, it is based on Kitsune of Japanese Folklore which is a mythical shape shifting fox that gains pleasure of shape shifting into humans to trick unsuspecting travelers for fun.

Almost like Ninetales since it’s based of the same Japanese Folklore but in my opinion, Zoroark kinda did it a lot better because of her appearance and its illusion ability is almost identical as being based of the Kitsune. But Zoroark doesn’t trick trainers of other Posing threat pokemon for fun.( unless it’s Zorua from the movie that likes having fun impersonating as other pokemon and trainers while having that mischievous grin.)

Zoroarks uses its illusion ability to protect it’s territory and their pack. And usually hides their cubs in their Large Mane. also they don’t usually interact with trainers pretty well and tend to held a grudge to any pokemon trainer that dares enters its territory in attempts to capture it. It is also said that those attempts to capture a Zoroark, they were trapped in a Illusion and gets punished.

Zoroark will not use its Illusion ability to trick other trainers for fun. They use it as a defense mechanism to protect it’s pack and must I remind the bond with the Zoruas and Zoroarks are pretty strong so if you dare pose a threat to any of these pokemon, you are gonna be in a world of hurt. Pretty much like that stuck up attention whoring asshole from the movie when Zoroark traps him in a Illusion for hurting her and Zorua.(...and I ended probably spoiling the movie, so I apologize for that.)

But overall Zoroark is very unique pokemon with a very unique concept. Pretty good stats of terms of Sweeping and trickery towards the opposing Pokemon. And the bond of these Pokemon is incredible. Now Zoroark is obtainable, that is if you could find it. Of course getting my Zorua and Zoroark respectfully is not easy due to the fact I did got the event pokemon I need to lure Zorua and Zoroark out of hiding, just barely though.

Now on to the ACTUAL #1 Pokemon spot on my list. Yes Zoroark is tied to another pokemon as #1.But allow me to give some back story about this pokemon, a history with him if you will. Most of you just want hear which pokemon is number one. But at least hear me out.

This Pokemon was mentioned before generation 4 wasn’t even announced in japan. in fact the first time that this pokemon was ever first mention was by Alakazam in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red/ Blue Rescue team.

During the post game, you’ll see Alakazam, leader of Team A.C.T, in the Pokemon town square between the Poke bank and the Friendship area Shop. when you talk to him, he talks about a very unique and Powerful Pokemon rescue Leader and possibly the only pokemon that started the whole Pokemon Rescue team, was considered the most Greatest Rescue leader of all time and his adventures were Legendary. Then Alakazam tells you his motive to why he form Team A.C.T.  is because he wants to be at least well known and close to fame as this unbelievable pokemon. Believe it or not you get statue of this Mysterious pokemon outside your rescue team base after achieving 15,000 or more rescue force points and achieving the top rank which is after the Diamond rank.

But then we get to see him for the first time ever with his actual english name in the 8th Pokemon Movie in 2006. That Pokemon goes by the name, Lucario.  

Now the question is; did this pokemon deserve any special treatment such as having entire segment to himself than Zoroark did and have sort of any justice as the previous entries?

well..DUH!!!

#1-1: Pokedex Entry #448: Lucario

All I can say is...I LOVE THIS BADASS POKEMON!!!

Lucario was more than just likable in terms of being in battle but as character as well.I can simply tell most of you guys are probably thinking I am absolutely praising this pokemon because it looks cool. That is indeed one of reasons. But like I said he was first Mentioned during the playthrough during the post game of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue and Blue Rescue Team. he didn’t get a proper introduction until the 8th pokemon movie that is Pokemon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, and it was aired on the same year when generation 4 is announced in Japan. in fact Lucario gotten so famous as Charizard, and Mewtwo, he appeared in not just the animes but also in other pokemon Games, Crossover games such as the smash bros. Games (two of them to be more exact) and as well in Spin offs, including the Recently released Wii U pokemon tournament fighter title, Pokken Tournament, and he is an absolute badass in that game!

Ever Since he has appeared on television and in the trainer's eyes for the first time, Lucario’s fame has skyrocketed like a nuke just went off!

Alright enough about the multiple appearances he as made and his fame. I would like get to the actual reason why he is number one in a bit. But first, his concept.

Lucario is based on the egyptian golden Jackal, or more specifically it’s appearance and concept of the Egyptian god of funerals and the dead, Anubis, which according to Egyptian

mythology, Anubis can sense and judge the heart of the deceased soul based their actions during their life. This is actually a really awesome concept and fits perfectly with Lucario’s abilities. Because in the pokemon movie and some of the animes and videogames it starred in, including in and outside of Battles, he can sense and use aura, a life energy emanating from living things but unlike Anubis, he can use his own Aura in battle. Which is where his signature move, Aura Sphere, is based off of . And best thing about this attack, it never misses at all. If lucario use this move, the opposing pokemon will receive damage unless the pokemon is immune to Fighting type attacks (AKA Ghost types)  or using avoid-and-attack-next-turn moves (Shadow Force, Dig, Fly, dive and Phantom Force) or avoid status move such as detect and protect.

But if that doesn’t blow your mind, then the origin of his name will. Trying reading his name Backwards. If you are still stumped then allow me to explain it for you. Lucario’s name is derived from the reversed japanese translation of “Oracle” which is referring to its supernatural abilities involving with Aura, and “Orichalcum,” A Mythical Metal, due to it being a part Steel type. Both his name origin and concept is just amazing, now onto its stats and move pool.

In terms of stats as a Steel and Fighting type, Lucario base stat total is 525, much higher than Zoroarks. However compare to Lucario, Zoroark has more offensive capability stats but have less defensive stats than Lucario's. In other words; Lucario is a slightly more Balanced Sweeper while Zoroark is more Offensive Sweeper than Lucario but also Trickery because of her Illusion ability. Not only that but because of Lucario’s typing. Being Part Steel type, he is immune to Poison status ailment including toxic which causes a poisoned status ailment to any pokemon with the exception of Steel. Good freakin lord!

But Lucario trumps any Steel and fighting types in terms of comparing their stats with his. Lucario Specialize in it’s Special attack Stat, with a maximum stat total of 365, while it’s Physical attack stat maximum total of 350. Making Lucario the ONLY non-legendary Fighting type Pokemon with  Special attack stat higher than it’s attack stat. But that’s not all! Lucario also has the highest speed base Stat of all Steel type pokemon reaching to maximum total of 305!

Holy shit! This makes Lucario even faster than a non-Sand Rush Excadrill! That is fucking jaw dropping!

Even his Move Pool is consisted of not one of the best, but still good regardless moves; Extreme Speed, Dragon Pulse, Metal Claw, Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Metal Sound, and Sword dance. Also did I forget to mention that one of his egg Moves is Blaze Kick? Yeah, having that Move on Lucario will Make any Steel Types think twice of facing him off, that is if you can get it learn Blaze Kick as a Riolu via Breeding. But that's not even Countering its other moves that can learn that not just by Leveling up. If you can get it to learn Ice Punch by taking him (or her for those who has a female Lucario, which is less likely due to it being mostly Male) to a special Move tutor in either in Pokemon Platinum or Omega Ruby/ Alpha Sapphire, then it’ll be a huge coverage against those Ground types, One of three types it’s weakness to.

You heard me right and I did not stutter on that last statement, Lucario is only weakness to three Types; Fire, Ground and Fighting types. And that’s not even counting how he has two main abilities and one Hidden ability and his abilities possibly are the best abilities than any pokemon could have except for his hidden ability.

The first ability, Steadfast; which causes the pokemon to raise its speed stat by one level every time it receives a Flinch status, which is a status ailment that causes the pokemon to skip its turn.Then there is his second Ability which is an Absolute MUST HAVE for any Lucario Users out there. (Spoilers: I actually got one with Blaze Kick as one of it’s moves, I am one lucky Bastard! XD)

Inner Focus: which makes Lucario immune to Flinch status. Meaning it cannot be Flinched at all even if it’s being attacked while using Focus Punch! Not even Fake out can cause it to flinch!

Then there is his Hidden Ability, which is not really that useful unless it’s in a double battle with a Dark Type Pokemon. The Hidden Ability Justified; raises Lucario’s Attack by one stage every time he was inflicted damage by a Dark move. Like I said, Not THAT useful unless it’s in double battle and paired up with a Dark type pokemon OR a pokemon that has a dark type move(s).

But if you want anymore proof how Lucario is powerful despite being Semi-Pseudo Legendary.

Two Words: Mega. Lucario!

This Mega Evolution possibly trumps any Mega Evolutions I’ve ever seen, with the Exception of Mega Charizard X and Y, Mega Mewtwo X, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Rayquaza. (yes I said Mega Charizard, both its X and Y forms)

In term of Base Stats, It’s ability, and most of all; That kick ass design! His Mega Evolved form is intimidating especially it’s death stare it’s giving with those Amber Colored eyes! (which is suppose to be red) that look he’s giving you is telling you and your pokemon “do not mess with me or underestimate me or I will utterly destroy you!”

As I mentioned before, Mega Evolution increases the base stat of that pokemon that can Mega Evolve by 100. So in Mega Lucario’s Case, Lucario’s base stat totaled of 625. And it’s highest base Special attack stat reaching to a maximum of 416! That is the highest maximum Special attack base stat of all non-legendary Fighting type pokemon and his ability is just as Overpowered as his Special Attack base stat which makes him even more powerful!

Mega Lucario’s ability, Adaptability, increases same type Attack bonus from 1.5 to 2. So if you have a mega lucario with his Signature Move, Aura Sphere, as one of his moves, You will most likely going to cripple your opponent’s pokemon if not non crit KO them in one clean shot!

Now I did say that Arceus never made to my list and only made on to the Honorable Mentions list because one of the reasons is that he is just too powerful while considerably due to the fact it is a Legendary. Lucario nearly got the same excuse as Arceus but here’s the thing though why he didn’t get turned down as Arceus did.

Just because you have Legendary or an overpowered pokemon that cannot or can mega evolve, doesn’t mean you are indestructible. They can be beaten, especially in their mega evolved forms depending on what pokemon and strategy you are using. But because Arceus’s insanely ridiculous balanced Base Stats, it’s Ability to change it’s type depending on which plate you give him and, must I remind you, that the held item will boost the power of the effect and damage of the move of that type, for example if Arceus holding a Dread plate, not only it change Arceus to a dark type which now grants it immunity to Psychic types. But also the damage and effect of the move of that type will be increased so not only it boost the power of its Signature attack, Judgement, because it changes type depending on what Plate was given to it’s user but also increases the damage of the move of that type. So not only Judgement gains an additional damage boost due to being the same exact type as Arceus thanks to it holding the Dread Plate, if it has any Dark type moves like Punishment as one of its moves, it powers that up too!

Lucario doesn’t have any of that unless it Mega Evolves due to his ability, Adaptability. Which only powers up only his fighting and steel type moves as long it is the same type as him. However He can still be beaten while Arceus is just way too damn strong.

Okay I think explained enough about Lucario, now it's time to to explain on to the Main reason why he is #1. Its because the role he played in the very Pokemon movie that not only he starred in but also where he made his actual Appearance. Pokemon Movie 08; Lucario and the Mystery of Mew.

(Major Spoiler Alert!!! I am gonna cover most of Everything in this movie, including the ending. So if you have not watch the movie, please do so before continue reading, there is a DVD available on Amazon so you can watch it.But if you still insist on reading without seeing the movie, by all means be my guest. But remember this…

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!)

As it turns out 1000 years prior to the events of the movie, Lucario’s Master, Sir Aaron the Aura guardian, and the Queen of Cameran Castle, Rin, are on the balcony that views the land, as the two armies is at war with Castle and each other and peace cannot be restored, Aaron and Rin obliged to eachother that the castle may suffer the same fate, so after exchanging their last words with each other, Sir Aaron rides his Pidgeot out of the Castle and into the valley, which is where Lucario was able to Catch up with him, only to be told by his master that he has not only abandoned the Palace but the queen will not return.

At that point Lucario could not believe what he is hearing and implores Sir Aaron to wait. But before he can even confront him though, Sir Aaron sealed Lucario into his staff as he flies off into the valley. Within the staff itself, Lucario can only watch him fly off into the distant and Lucario remain trapped inside the staff for a 1000 years while being felt betrayed by his own master.

Into the present day of the movie after the Cameran Palace festival battles, Ash was able to win the festival battles was given a title as “The Hero of the Year”  and was presented with to sit on the throne that overlooks ballroom, as there is Ball and Banquet to honor the “The Guardian of Aura”  and Queen Elene’s presented him with Sir Aaron’s Staff which undo the seal upon grasping it and set lucario Free. At this point, Lucario after discovering he is as Camoran Palace is completely confused to why the Palace is celebrating while it's under attack, or so he thought, after discovering its not where he’s at, but WHEN. Still feel betrayed, Ash wanted to talk to him but only to end up being jumped by him. Both Ash and Lucario didn’t get along pretty well even when explains to his friends how him and pikachu became friends, Lucario just wander off in disgust and goes by far insulting Ash and tells him that him and Pikachu will never be friends because how weak Ash is. This of course did pushed Ash over the edge and the two ended Conflicting against eachother.

But eventually, Lucario then begin searching for answer with the help of Ash and his friends and Kidd, another character that also appeared only in this movie which also were introduced Weavile, another pokemon from gen 4 that wasn’t announced yet. Lucario then begins accepting Ash’s help and aiding him to go find pikachu. Along the way they discover the time flower, which upon touching it, it’ll a show a glimpse of the past in a holographic illusion. One of them show the past took place 1000 years involving with the two armies, this causes Lucario to freak out and shooting a barrage of Aura spheres all over the place, one of the aura spheres barely misses Ash as he rushes to him and tells him it's all an illusion of the past. Lucario did stopped thanks to Ash calming him down. Afterwards, Lucario request Ash to promise him to never abandon Pikachu, Ash promised him as their journey continues with protecting him, Mostly him and his friends, with his life.

Almost half way at the end of the movie where Ash and his friends with Lucario discovered what is going on and why the tree of beginning’s guardians; Regirock, Registeel and Regice is

attacking them as they get to their destination. As it turns out, the Regi trio are protecting the tree from any intruders and even goes by far by neutralizing the intruders because Mew and the tree of beginning are symbolic creatures and share their powers with each other. However when Mew brought Ash and his friends back from being absorbed from the Tree of beginning, it upsetted the balance of Mew and the tree, causing the tree to slowly die and fall apart all around them which and also resulted Mew falling extremely ill. If they don’t resolve the problem and restore power into the Tree, the tree, Mew and everyone and every pokemon inhabits it will die.

Its at the point we come across the end of the movie Where the team gets to the core of the tree and Lucario found another time flower and showed that Sir Aaron didn’t abandoned the kingdom but saved it by sacrificing his life to bring peace. By giving Mew the full power of his Aura, Sir Aaron was able to restore the tree of beginning to full power and stopped the war. Now knowing the truth, Mew did told Lucario that there is a way to restore the tree, but it’ll be very risky task. That is to use all of his Aura to restore the tree back to full power and will reverse the damage that was done to the tree. However though if Lucario does use all of his Aura, he’ll put so much stress on his body, he’ll ended being in the same suspension state as Sir Aaron, in other words; Lucario will most likely die the same way as Sir Aaron did. But lucario was not afraid and wanted to carrying his master’s Legacy even it means giving up his life to protect those who are dear to him.

Lucario accepted the task and attempt to carry it out, only to realize his Aura is strong enough. However with Ash’s help which almost took his life but then saved by Lucario from being strained to death. They were able to save the tree. But Lucario is now near death's door step. As he stumbles to the crystal behind him. He sees another time flower and activated, showing Sir Aarong stumbling and then collapse and revealed the absolute that pulled my heart strings.

As it turns out, Sir Aaron sealed Lucario inside his staff because if Lucario did followed him into the core of the tree of beginning, he’ll suffer the same fate as him and when he awakens and was released from the staff one day he hopes Lucario will live in a new peaceful world.  And he had considered Lucario more than just his Student, he considered his Closest friend he has ever had. This made Lucario cry and wish he could speak to Aaron to apologize because he thinks he had failed him. But Ash says otherwise, saying Lucario is still a Hero regardless. As Lucario begins slowly fading away, he smiled to Ash and thanked him for everything. He smiked as he died and his and Sir Aaron’s Crystallized body dispersed into crystal energy out of the tree.  As brock comment that Lucario is actually gone Ash disagrees and said this final quote “Lucario is not gone...his Aura is with me!”

Throughout the entire movie Lucario only known and feels Solitude and betrayal while sealed in the Staff for so long but yet he as begins to know Ash and his friends more and was even treated with Chocolate, given to him by Max, Lucario slowly begins opening up to Ash not just because his Aura is similar to Sir Aaron’s, but also consider him as a friend as well and he is willing to defend Ash with his life. He even was hurt emotionally and was just as upset with Ash’s pokemon when he got absorbed. He thought he has failed only for Mew to bring Ash and his friends back.

This is all because Lucarios are very loyal and protective with their trainers and willing to go far extent to carrying out his/her trainers wishes or legacy, they will put their life on line. If lucario can do that, then that pretty much proves my Point that Lucario is a Strong and loyal pokemon to have. And that is why he is number one. it's not because he is too powerful and heavily overused, it’s not because of his insane abilities or stats. But because they are loyal and strong willed as their Aura. I don’t care if you guys think I am being too much of a lucario fanfag but this is from MY perspective, no one else's. And I will continue using Lucario to honor him from the movie he starred in and appeared for the first time.
