Due to social media and pop culture you would think the world is filled with unproductive youth
whose daily lives consisted of sex, drugs, and social media binges. I just wanted the world to know that our generation is not the destructed population they’ve painted, we are actually a generation of hustlers. Usually the term hustler is seen in a negative light, but a hustler could be anyone that is doing what they HAVE to so they can do what they WANT to do in life. Our generation is filled with beautiful, creative, and innovative youth that wont take no for an answer. Personally, I come from the average middle class family with a hard working father, an educated mother, and plenty of support; and they’ve made sacrifices in their lives for me to be able to step out on faith and chase my dreams. Although our elders may think the contrary, I speak for my generation when I say we appreciate your sacrifices and the foundation you’ve laid for us and we are using it as a stepping stone to do what we love while prospering financially. “Generation X” has taken innovation to an all new height! We’re creating opportunities for ourselves and we refuse to live life by the book, “Do what you love,” we say...and we do it! From the college student spending late nights in the library to the entrepreneur working a 9 to 5 to invest in their start-up, this is for you! XOXO P.S. PATIENCE, PERSISTENCE, and PRAYER is key, and remember good things come to those who hustle!D’mani DeVoe

VEPeter Shoukry is more than just another
beautifully chiseled face. This established male model (whose resume consist of Banana Republic ads and international fashion shows) is also an artist. His colorful artwork is not only pleasing to the eye but it evokes thought, creates dialogue, and sparks the imagination! His artwork has even been recognized by the Louis Vuitton Fashion House. Peter comes from humble beginnings, born in Egypt with no silver spoon in his mouth and the odds against him, he’s used his talents to create opportunities for himself. Learn more about this amazing artist and talented model, read his bio below and let it inspire you! By: D’mani DeVoe
Artist and model, Peter Shoukry was born in Cairo Egypt, and immigrated to the US in 1996.
At the age of 15, Peter Shoukry Started out by displaying his art work at coffee shops, and local vendors in Los Angeles. He later became recognized and picked up for group exhibitions by galleries in DTLA. His career started to ignite right after high school with a show at the Museum of Contemporary art in Los Angeles. Shortly after, his career became International with gallery and museum exhibitions all around the world including Paris, and Vienna. Not to mention International Shows with the European Union, his abstract art has also sold in private show rooms alongside originals by Picasso, Dali and Cezanne. After becoming recognized by the legendary fashion house Louis Vuitton in a world class art contest, Peter Shoukry was inspired to create a new wave of art, one he calls "Fashion Abstract Art". Bright colors, rich traditional textiles and designs fitted in an original illustration that depicts a story of inspiration from his abstract mind. His design style involves a process of first sketching, and then tapping off bit by bit. His process, though painstakingly labor intensive, lends a magnificent result. Peter Shoukry’s Art forces you to contemplate it, to stare at it for hours, drawn like a moth to a flame, and then to walk away, pondering what you just saw, deeply affected. Peter Shoukry was recently signed by one of Americas’ Elite Modeling agencies, "Envy Model Management" to become a fashion Model. His Modeling career took off faster than the ink dried, working with top clothing designers for fashion runway shows and magazine editorials. His Modeling career has complemented his Art career and took it to a higher level. You can catch his art world tour which is currently taking place across eleven galleries world wide. "I have always been fascinated by the French saying ‘la vie behome’ which means to live the life of an artist, I will never stop seeking new ways to express my creativity, whether its behind a canvas or in front of a camera." says Peter.

Q. What inspired the name for your clothing line? A.The name The Pack
came from the idea of camaraderie and represents mygroup of friends, and what better animal to represent that than the Wolf orWolf Pack, or Pack of Wolves, and with myself and Lamar Lundy belonging toa certain group of close friends coming up with the name was a no-brainer.
Q. You've managed to blend fashion and art with this line, are there any visual artist or designers that influence you guys? A.We were heavily influenced by other streetwear brands like The Hundreds,Stussy, and Crooks N Castles, not to mention Ice Cream, by Pharrell. Iwould have to say that those brands were heavy inspirations, if I had tochoose actual designers that influence me personally, it would have to beNick Diamonds of "Diamond supply co." and Bobby Hundreds of "The Hundreds."

ALL ABOUT
‘THE PACK’D
EV
OE
Q. As you know, there are new street wear clothing lines emerging everyday, what do you think separates your line from the rest of them? A.What separates us
from other up and coming brands is that these brandsthat are just starting up usually do not have a polished graphic designercreating their designs for them, unlike The Pack clothing. Too often I am
approached by people with aspirations to start a clothing line but know noone who could bang out some quality designs for them, so they seek my help,
and that says a lot to meQ.During your designing process do you ever find yourself stuck or
>> uninspired? If so, what do you do to regain your focus? A. Well my process of designing can be all over the place, throughout my day
I am constantly thinking of new fresh creative ideas to put on fabric andthen BAM! Its like divine intervention or something, I get this creative
idea for a design which usually has some sort of theme behind it relevantto "The Pack" then I sketch it out, scan it, design it, print it, sell it.
The only thing is a lot of times I'll have several great ideas just buzzingaround in my head, and I have to get them at least in the designing process
or I feel like my head will explode, so in a way designing is literally
Q. I'm aware that you're a graphic designer as well as an artist, but when did you decide that you
wanted to branch out into fashion?R. A. Well I always always always wanted to
produce my own line of clothing, Ihad the idea in my head since way back during
freshman year when I was anS. art major, I just never told anyone and I did not
have that much knowledgeT. of designing back then so I had no direction and
no particular techniqueU. (when it came to designing) it was basically just
raw talent. So I had toV. go through a few years of college to gain
inspiration and direction, andW. from that became my own style and technique.
However it wasn't until one ofX. my bestfriends Lamar Lundy had an idea of
starting his own clothing lineY. this past summer, and I just felt that it was a
sign, so from there we justZ. started to make moves together, the rest is
history I guess you could say.
Q. If your line could be transformed into a movie what would the title be? A. I think I would want to
call it "Packistan" I just like the play onwords, Packistan would be like a short film or
documentary about my friendsand myself and our daily lives, with going to
school, work, internships, other endeavors (clothing lines lol) parties, etc.
Q.What advice would you give to artist that have a love for fashion as
well but are afraid of venturing out into that field? A. To just go for it, once you start the process of
planning out the lineand people start to notice, you will see you had
way more supporters thanyou thought you had, it's like having a lot of
people behind you 100%wanting you to succeed. And it's way better if you
are not doing it alone.

With Emilynn Rose Photography
Eighteen year old native of Hawthorne California, Emilynn Josep
creates visual stories with her photography. We are in awe of this young visionistas’s hustle because she is able to take a brief moment and create a story worth a million words. Her imagination goes past the lense, and once her portraits are before her viewers they can literally feel the moment in which pure beauty was captured. Her
photos evoke emotion as well as profound thought. Take a look at her portraits and as her serene images capture you in an abyss of euphoric
thoughts allow that moment to inspire you !
Q. A lot of your photography tells a story, do you write as well? Also, what inspires the stories that you tell through your photos? A. I do write, and I am currently exercising my writing more to be able to write the stories I tell through my photography. The way I perceive my art is through my vision of photography and styling, I want to be able to draw the audience into seeing how the photo comes together. I tend to create a photo that flows and is visually appealing, but still makes you wander. I get most of my inspirations through other great photographers, or magazine photos. I spend a large amount of time scrolling down Instagram, looking through other photographers, models, fashion designers or stylists to get down some ideas and convert it to my type of style.
Q. Are there any photographers or visual artist that you look up to? If so, who? A.My top two favorite photographers are fashion photographer, Ellen von Unwerth and Steven Meisel. I look up to these two photographers because of the different style they have introduced to fashion photographers, but most importantly the dedication and love for the art of photography and fashion that they share with this world. The ideas they create through their photographs are breath taking. They are also both photographers for Vogue magazine which I hope one day to be a big part of.
Q. The majority of your photography you're credited as the stylist, photographer, and director...how do you balance all of those titles?
A. I balance all of these titles through, of course, time management but I also strongly believe that if you truly love something there is always time for it. Sometimes there is a bit of a chaos but that's what makes my job
exciting to me, if I am able to work this hard now at my age, I believe it will all pay
off in the future.

you were like a
broken glass that had beenglued back together by another path in your past.you were delicate.and i wanted nothing morebut to be part of the reasonsyou stayed together. no matter how i adjusted myselfto fit inside of youlike a rose in a too small vase.your pieces were still wet and sticky and i did nothing more but get glue on my peace. i loved every bit of you.every piece.even the pieces of youthat you tried to not acknowledge.but i did.and that was never good enough. i was still told to be more quiet.less soft.
more absent from myself.i never meant to cause pain, but there came a point where the glass got thrown across the floor.and there was nothing really left of you,but pieces.yet i still changed myself.dropped more petals, took the thorns off of my stem.I’ve never experienced hate after love, but the fire you spit outwas only put there to scorn me.and i cannot figure outhow many morepetals and thornsyou would have wanted me to ridbefore you would have loved me fully.before i could fit inside of your pieces.

You’ve been on my mind….Come dance with me. Half the sea is falling from the skies as I look into your eyes; half to
see the inside of your soul, half to wholeheartedly hold you close. As if being seen would be
some type of tractor beam attracting me to you. Just the 2 of us, feeling no desire to run for
cover, letting our inner lovers meet one another unadulterated under the precipitation. As
the clouds go to war, this torrential downpour has potential to drown more than in the days
of Noah. But I would give my last 40 days and nights to hold ya this tight. Well into the night
we dance, our hands palm to palm with fingers intertwined, as if they are attempting to
design a visual description of what is happening to our minds. Mutually symbiotic, feeding
of the erotic sonnets our inner poets have written. You’re smitten by my wit, I’m lifted by
your lips. I lean forward, not to kiss them, but to lick off the raindrops as they drip. Sweeter
than pineapples, all I need is this sample to surmise your divine mind’s flavors. As the
waves roll in the sky’s ocean, I refuse to lose focus on this moment, holdin U against me,
hoping we could rock to the beat under this rain until we started eroding. 2 lovers 2steppin
in puddles, letting the rumbles of the thunder above muddle sounds of trouble. Nothing but
bliss in the mist, our hurricanes are more than pain, more than pleasure, a level of celestials
is what we have attained while waltzin in this rain. Caught within the flames of a paradox,
every drop is life, every drop is love, and it will never stop. This storm is a portal to the
immortal, the music more foreign yet still forming our dance as we move forward and back
to the rhythm of our heartbeat. The dark speaks to us, and shows us our reflection in the
mirror within us every time the lightning strikes. From right to left, left to right, from life to
death, death to life, our souls connect with every step, with every step our souls unite….

Q. How long have you been rapping, and what inspired you to embark on your music venture? A. I've been "rapping" since I was seven but I didn't start taking it serious till I was about 14. I got inspired by the notion that this is what I'm meant to be doing. That was all I needed to "go for it" but I can also say being celebrated as being an intricate lyricist inspired me as well, "people love you for saying words that rhyme? Oh yea I want that"
Q.You manage to have balance having conscious lyrics while still having a sound you can "turn up" to. How did you find that balance? A.Honestly I didn't even look for it,it just came like that. I just pick dope beats and say what I feel on them and it happens to be conscious so I roll with it...I'm just making music and seeing what happens from there. But every song is like a child to me,so no matter how it turns out I'm going to love it.Q.What is one thing that you want the people that hear your music, to say about
you? A.I want them to say "This guy is creative" I just get so excited by people noticing subtle intricacies in my music, I just love that ,it means you were paying attention.
With Hip-Hop Artist Damone
Williams
Q. Who are some artist that you gain influence from?
A.Definitely the 90's greats such as Biggie, A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and CL Smooth,De-la Soul, Nas, and Mos Def. Also the new school cats too like Childish Gambino, J-Cole, Kendrick, Drake and Ab-Soul but there are even people like Empire of The Sun, MGMT, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Foreigner, The Killers, and Blink 182 that inspire my music as well. Oh and Pharrell Williams, we have the same last name so you know he's dope!
Q.You have a song titled "Sapiosexual", what inspired this track and what do you want your female listeners to get from that particular song? A."Sapio-sexual" just came about one day when I was reading this girl’s Instagram bio.She said she was sapiosexual and I was like, "hmmm that's interesting, kinda weird but interesting". I didn't even think about doing a song about that until I heard the beat and was like "oh this would be a nice song" I was at work working on the hook and then I wrote the verses and went home and recorded it. I want females to see that dudes appreciate a nice brain, a nice body is just a bonus but if there's nothing in your cranium your basically a walking sex toy to us or should I say me cause I can't speak for EVERY male.Q.If you could pick one artist, dead or alive to collab with, who would it be? A.Biggie, hands down that dude was ill for his time, his story telling was immaculate. I feel we'd make a dope song and he'd finally give me the competition I've been hoping for.Q.Can we expect any other projects from you in the near future? A.Mos Def! I have a project coming out later this year that I'm working on now called "A Bitch Ain't A Beach" it'll probably be out in March or February. I've released a single from it on my soundcloud called "By Means Of Travel" it's experimental but it's what you can expect from the tape, it's not for everyone though.
