    here are many types and levels of worship of the Devi(s) of the Sri Chakra. The Khadgamala is

    the simplest way. It is simply reciting the names of all the Devis of the Sri Chakra. The following is the sequence in which the names should be recited. It is very good for all round

    protection and progress. If recited when you are tired and exhausted, it is an excellent rejuvenator of the body, mind and the soul.

    Once we post the first Devi of the SriChakra, we will provide the

    full text of the Khadgamala Stotram, along with an mp3 of the full

    recitation by Amritananda Natha Saraswati for you to download (to

    check your pronunciation, etc.) ... If you just can't wait, please

    be aware that we claim no exclusivity -- the Stotram is available at

    various locations around the Web.

    But for now, to whet your appetite, here is the opening sequence (in

    English) of the Stotram, preceding the recitations of the Devi's

    names. Later we'll provide Sanskrit text in devanagari script and

    Roman transliteration:

    KHADGAMALA STOTRAM

    In this, the Khadgamala, Devi's sword:

    The Seer is the Sun rising from the ocean,

    The ocean being the Divine Mother;

    Gayatri is the meter;

    Passionate Kameshwari, sitting on the lap of joyous Kameswara, is

    the deity;

    Aim is the seed;

    Klim is the power;

    Souh is the pivot.

  • Its purpose is worship of the Divine Mother.

    This worship of the Divine Mother as Kameshwari,

    Which is the ocean's embrace with the Sun,

    Gives the devotee a Sword, a Power Supreme,

    Reaching the Heavens of the remotest galaxies.

    When the devotee thinks of such a sword,

    S/he becomes the protector and enjoyer

    Of the eighteen lands of jewels [i.e. Sakti peetams], and the five

    continents.

    (Dhyanam)

    I meditate on Sri Devi

    Glowing with red, yellow, and blue flames of passion

    Fanning the erotic sentiment of Kameshwara,

    In the middle of a triangle called Hrim,

    Whose three points are the light of Hari, Hara, and Virinchi, the

    three gurus.

    Sri Devi is wearing the full moon on her crown (Souh);

    Her body is full of desire for union (Klim) with Kameshwara, the

    controller of lust;

    She is wearing a sari made of golden threads;

    She is fair as nectarine milk and the moonlight;

    She has three eyes;

    In Her four hands she is wearing a book of knowledge, a noose, a

    goad, and a garland of letters;

    She is the very personification of all that is beautiful, aesthetic,

    harmonious, joyful, vibrant;

    She moves in Sri Chakra, a mandala consisting of all the deities

    worshipping their consorts, as shall be named hereafter.

    Om Aim Hrim Srim Aim Klim Souh

    In the name of God, may you grant us benediction of knowledge, power

    and grace; and the power over creation, nourishment and destruction.

    all the waking, dreaming, or sleeping worlds. Oh, Tripura Sundari,

    we bow to the compassionate heart of Your highness; to Your royal

    diadem, to Your flowing hair, to Your protective hands, to Your

    graceful countenance, to Your protective weapons.)

    (You then recite the names of the saints who have worshipped the

    Divine Mother and attained liberation thereby

  • Lopamudramayi,

    Ratnadevamayi

    Sri Ramanandamayi ...

    (Hereafter, the recitations of the Shaktis commences. To be

    continued ...)

    Om Sri Ganeshaya Namaha

    I cannot answer all the questions but this is what I know:

    Devi Kadgamala is also known as 'shakti mala'. The literal meaning of the word

    is - mala (garland) made of kadga (daggers).

    Each name in the stotram is a kadgam. when reciting Kadgamala, the daggers from

    Devi's mala protects the person and wards off evil. It secures a person from

    enemies and conspiracies. When praying one has to think of Sri chakram from the

    petals to inner bindu.

    The below is taken from a book on Devi:

    There are 9 divisions in kadgamala (till 'chakra swamyinay namaha' in namavali).

    1. Trai lokya mohana chakram- these are the powerful yantras of the tri-lokas .

    2. 'sarva shaparipurvaka chakram'- this chakram fulfils the desires.

    3. ' Sarva sankshobana chakram'-

    4. 'Sarva soubaghyadayaka chakram' - giver all the saubhagyas

    5.' Sarvardha sadhaka chakram'- helps in attainment of goals and achievements

    6. 'Sarva rakshakara chakram'- gives all the possible rakshana to the devotee.

    7. ' Sarva rogahara chakram'- gives panacea to all diseases

    8. 'Sarva siddi pradayaka chakram'- giver of all siddis.

    9. 'Sarva ananda chakram'- giver of all happiness
