The application fee is Rs. 400/- (In case of SC/ST candidates, Rs. 250/- only). The application fee can be paid through demand draft in the name of REGISTRAR, Devi Ahilya University, Indore payable at Indore. For School of Computer Science and IT applicants, the application form can be filled online through m p online.gov.in or its authorized kiosk centre. Last date of submission of application form is 20th June, 2015. The details of eligibility, number of seats, fee structure, date of test etc. are available on website www.dauniv.ac.in. REGISTRAR

GENERAL RULES OF ADMISSION IN VARIOUS COURSES HOW TO APPLY:

• The candidate is advised to apply for admission only if he/she fulfills the eligibility requirements. The onus of checking appropriate eligibility lies with the candidate.

• The application form be downloaded from university website (www.dauniv.ac.in).

• The filled application form along with all required documents is submitted to respective school of studies.

• If applicants wish to be considered for more than one course, then apply in the separate application form for each course.

• Candidate is advised to mark correctly his/her category and required to enclose certificate to claim the benefit. Change of category shall not be accepted thereafter.

• Application fee for Admission-2015 is Rs. 400/- (SC/ST Rs.250/-) payable at Indore in the form of Demand Draft in the name of Registrar, D.A.V.V, Indore.

. Candidate is required to report at the given date and time at the test center by concerned school of studies.

• The candidates who fail to indicate the appropriate reservation category in the respective column of the application form will not have any claim for the reservation later on.

• The name of the candidate must be the same as given in the mark sheet of the qualifying examination of the Board/University. Competent authorities should certify the discrepancies in the names of various mark sheets, if any.

• Non-appearance in the written test and counseling (if required), for whatsoever reason, will automatically disqualify the candidature for the admission.

• The Information given in the application form will be verified at the time of counseling / admission from the original documents by the University. Therefore, if it is found that a successful application has provided incorrect or false information or withheld some relevant information at the time of filling up the application form, the applicant shall be debarred from admission or his admission can be cancelled at any time during the course of his/her studies without giving him any prior notice.

• In case any Board of examination/ University / Institute do not show percentage of marks in the mark sheet, a certificate from the competent authority of the Board/ University / Institute must be produced stating equivalent percentage of marks as well as conversion formula used, along with the mark sheet at the time of admission.

• The decision of the University Authority shall be final and binding in the matter relating to admission. The rules may be modified without any prior notice and any modification so made shall be binding.

• Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, will use all reasonable endeavors to deliver courses, duration and other services in accordance with the descriptions set out in this guidelines. The University reserves the right to rename any programme degree, make variations in the contents and methods of delivery of courses and other services, to discontinue course and other service and to merge or combine courses, if such action is reasonably considered to be necessary. All admitted students, who are not enrolled with the university, would be required to enroll themselves as per University rules.

• The admission to various programmes will be as per the Madhya Pradesh Government reservation policy.

• Any legal dispute regarding Admission-2015 is subject to Indore jurisdiction.

• No written communication will be provided. Applicants are advised to go through university website. University reserves the right to modify / alter any information provided in advertisement at any stage.

1.0.0. Minimum Percentage for Admissions and Eligibility for Admission/Appearing in Entrance Test - 1.1.1. Minimum percentage and admission criteria for admission to courses being offered by the University are

mentioned in the Tables 1. Table 2 includes STUDENT SERVICES FEE (Applicable for All school of studies). For minimum eligibility criteria, percentage of marks in aggregate in qualifying examination, kindly refer to the Tables 1. A relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria shall be admissible to the bonafide SC/ST applicants of Madhya Pradesh only. A relaxation of 5% in eligibility will also be applicable to Physically Challenged (Nishaktjan) as defined by M.P. Government.

1.1.2. The candidates awaiting their results of qualifying examination can also apply for admission but the

candidate has to submit the final mark sheet of qualifying examination by 14th August 2015 or the date as decided by the University.

1.1.3. Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from Universities other than Devi Ahilya

University are required to submit Eligibility Certificate issued by the Devi Ahilya University, Indore. 1.1.4. New admission will be given only in first semester / first year of the course. 1.2. Age Limit

As per the government rules the upper age limit for male candidates in admission to undergraduate courses is 22 years whereas for postgraduate degree courses it is 27 years as on July 01, 2015. A relaxation of three years in upper age limit for SC / ST / OBC and physically handicapped candidate shall be provided for the applicants of Madhya Pradesh only. For candidate belonging to physically challenged category upper age limit for admission to Graduate and Post Graduate courses will be 30 and 35 years, respectively. There is no upper age limit for female, Rules and regulations issued by Department of Higher education, M.P.Govt. will be followed.

1.3. Non-Eligibility for Admission 1.3.1. If the age is more than the requisite age.

1.3.2. An applicant convicted by the court of law in India or outside or one against whom cases are being tried in the court/s or challan has been presented or have verifiable allegations against them concerning misbehavior/beating of students/officers/employees or a person against whom disciplinary action has been taken by Devi Ahilya University or any other University shall not be eligible for admission.

1.3.3. A full time government employee/non-government employee cannot take admission in courses run

during working hours. However, they can take admission in courses run after regular working hours. For the same they will have to produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

2.0.0. Reservation Policy and Conversion of Seats 2.1.0. Reservation of seats in courses offered by the University will be in accordance with the policy of Madhya Pradesh government. The benefit of reservation will be available, only to the domiciles of Madhya Pradesh.

2.2.0. Of the total seats, 16 percent and 20 percent seats in courses will be reserved for applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), respectively. Seats of both these categories are inter- changeable. 2.3.0. Of the total seats in a course, 14 percent seats will be reserved for applicants form OBC category (except who are in creamy layer). 2.4.0. Reservation for Persons with disabilities (Physically Handicapped Seats): One seat on over and above basis in each course will be reserved for the physically handicapped candidates with disability percentage of 40 or above. Candidate’s claiming admission against these seats shall be required to produce Disability Certificate from the concerned District Medical Board. (Except in M.Ed. course) 2.5.0. A horizontal reservation of 30 percent of the total seats will be for female applicants. 2.6.0. DAVV Employee ward quota: Admission for wards of the University employees will be done on the basis of University guidelines. These admissions will be over and above the total number of seats available in the concerned course. (Except in M.Ed. course)

(Ward here would mean husband, wife, son, daughter of the employee/teacher/officer. In this respect a certificate from the Registrar, Devi Ahilya University, Indore /Competent authority of the University shall be required)

Note: These seats are interchangeable, and can be converted to other category (Officer/Teacher to Employee or Vice -Versa) if they remain vacant. 2.7.0. If less than half seat falls under reservation then the seat will not be available, but in case the proportion of seat is between half and one it will be treated as one. 2.8.0. If reserved seats remain vacant on the day of counseling, the seat will be converted to general category on the basis of merit. 2.9.0. To avail benefit of reservation a certificate from a Competent Authority should be produced. 2.10.0. The candidate (applicants) must indicate explicitly the category for which he / she wants to avail the advantage of reservation for admission. This option will, in no case, be allowed to be changed. 2.11.0. The candidate admitted under NRI category will not be transferred to any other category. 2.12.0. Conversion of vacant seats among reserved categories (SC / ST / OBC) will be done as per M.P. Government directives. 2.13.0. J & K Migrants quota seats: One seat in each program shall be reserved for sons/daughters of the persons displaced from the state of Jammu and Kashmir settled in M.P. on or before 1st January, 1999. Such candidates shall have to produce a certificate from the S.D.O. (Revenue) of the concerned district in prescribed Performa. (Except in M.Ed. course) Sons/ Daughters of the employees of M.P. Govt., who have served in the State of Jammu and Kashmir for curbing insurgency, are also covered under this quota.

Such candidates should have passed their qualifying examination from the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Candidates would be required to produce a certificate. The certificate should be produced at the time of admission.

2.14.0. J & K Resident Quota: One seat in each programme shall be reserved on over and above basis for residents of Jammu & Kashmir. The candidates seeking admission against these reserved seats shall be required to appear in Common Entrance Test conducted by University and submit appropriate certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of counseling. This reservation shall be over and above the sanctioned intake.

3.0.0. Other Important Points 3.1.0. Any situation, not covered by provisions mentioned in this guideline shall be referred to the Organizing Committee which will work within the ambit of Act, Statutes and Ordinances of Devi Ahilya University, Indore and its decision shall be final. 3.2.0. The legal disputes, if any, shall be settled in the within the legal jurisdiction of Indore. 3.3.0. Ragging, teasing, torturing or making nuisance in any way inside or outside the campus has been declared as a serious offence and strict action shall be taken against those who will be found involved in such activities. 3.4.0. If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the University, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory, the University would expel him/her from the institution. 3.5.0. In case it comes to the notice that an applicant was able to secure admission based on forged certificate/s or by furnishing wrong information, willingly concealing adverse facts or due to administrative or official negligence, his/her admission will be cancelled immediately. 3.6.0. If a student, after taking regular admission, fails to maintain 75% of the attendance for each subject in the course will not be eligible to appear in tests/final exam. 3.7.0 The fees of individual school of studies wise fees is shown in Table - 3: SCHOOL OF STUDIES WISE FEES. Fee structure is under consideration, any change in the fees will be as per university policy. 4.0.0. Hostel Accommodation:

There are four boy’s hostel and five girl’s hostels. Accommodation in the hostels is limited. For hostel accommodation selected candidates are required to contact Chief Warden Hostels, DAVV, Indore. Students staying in hostel are not allowed to work outside in part/full time. Hostel fees will be approx. 15000/- PA.

5.0.0 Refund of Fee: If any candidate leaves the course before the 14 August 2015, the fee will be returned to him/her after deducting 10% of the fees deposited by him/her. Only caution money will be refunded if a candidate leaves any course after the said date. In cases where candidates have fetched an undertaking to the effect that their admission may be deemed cancelled in case they fail to produce their result of qualifying examination with required eligibility percentages by September 30, 2015, there will be no refund of fee deposited. Where a provisionally admitted student is declared fail, his/her fee deposited will be refunded after deducting 10% of the fees deposited by him/her.

NOTE: 1. Caution Money for every course shall be Rs. 4000 uniformly and will be charged at the time of admission (Refundable)

2. Academic Fee for SC/ST students may be reimbursed by the State Govt. as per M.P. Government circular No.F-12-42/99/2/25 dated 29.07.2003.

3. UTDs may decide to charge the fee on yearly or semester basis.

4. If the student reappears in an examination, a fee of Rs.500/- per paper (Maximum Rs.2500/- per semester) shall be payable

5. For NRI/ FN/ PIO Candidates, a fee of US$ 3500 Per Annum shall be payable on yearly basis. They will have to pay a refundable deposit of US$ 500 once at the time of admission
