!  Status of the digital society in Germany •  The overall index remains unchanged •  The competence has deteriorated •  The use of Internet and broadband is stagnating

!  We cannot be indifferent to the stagnation •  Internet use is now an essential means of participation •  Businesses that ignore digitalisation are in danger

!  Germany uses the index to fuel the discussion about digitalisation •  Government set a Digital Agenda – tracked by Parliamentary committee on the Digital Agenda •  Discussions are good at a society and political level but every actor in society needs to define

their digitalisation strategy !  …and never forget: many solutions for digitalisation are at an European level !
