Dear Parents, Don’t miss out!! Get your tickets now!
Next week the students commence their complete rehearsals with the groups they will be performing with on their night at the Cardinia Cultural Centre. There will be much excitement as they see the whole show and how their act fits into the complete story. Time is running out to get your
tickets if you haven’t as yet, so follow the link http://www.trybooking.com/QTKP this will get you to the booking site … get booking now! Don’t miss out! Fathers Day Stall Once again there has been very successful planning, organisation and execution by the team who have organised the Fathers Day stall. I greatly thank Mindi Hamilton, Bec McHarg, Kerri Sumner, Alison Van Rooyen, Brooke Wiramanden, Jacinta Parkinson, Nicole Couch and Sara Adem for all the time and effort they have given to ensure Dad gets that special surprise this Sunday. I take the opportunity to wish all the Dads a fantastic day with your families. An Afternoon With Dad We hope to see as many ‘Dad’s’ at school this Friday 1st September from 2.00 – 3.30pm to celebrate Fathers Day with your children. There will be activities in all classrooms except the Year 5’s as they will be on an excursion to Sovereign Hill. I am guessing there will be many interesting paper planes creations and other activities happening across the school for the afternoon. Hope to see you at school on the afternoon. AthleticSports Our Athletics team competed at Casey Fields today. At the time of writing I do not have any results so will outline their successes next week. I know the training they have done will have prepared them to represent Kilberry Valley very well indeed. Sovereign Hill Our Year fives are off the Sovereign Hill this Friday for an experience of what life was like in the 1850’s during the Gold Rush. Having been there a number of times over the years this is a great snapshot of conditions during this important time in Victoria’s history. Hopefully it will be fine day for them.

Footy News There is a week off and I know my wife and daughter are looking forward to not having so much football talk at home as the Hawkers are out of the finals. However there are still some Victorian sides to fly the flag (even if the number is only 3 out of the 8) and the sentimental favourite has to be the Tigers. It will be interesting to see the trade deals and hype that goes with that over the finale weeks of the season. Have a great week and keep smiling!

One of our children in the school community is receiving medical treatment which puts them at serious risk if they are exposed to
infectious illnesses, in particular: Chicken -Pox, Measles, Mumps or Shingles.
It is also important that while your child is unwell they remain at home until they
are no longer contagious. Please let us know immediately by calling the
school office on 9702 8688.
As a school community we value your support in relation to the wellbeing of all our students.
Any parent who wishes to help out in our classrooms or on excursions, must provide a current Working With Childrens Card (WWCC) to the office. On the day you come to assist, please come through the office and sign in the visitors book, you will be given a “Classroom helper Privacy Agreement” to read and sign. CHANGE OF CLOTHING FOR STUDENTS
We would like to remind parents to
provide a change of clothing in children’s school bags—preferably some clean underwear, track suit pants,
windcheater, shorts or a dress.
This is handy for ALL children in ALL grade levels .
It makes them feel less stressed if they
require a change of clothing owing to an accident or a blood nose or
they fall in the mud.
We ask for your co-operation with this matter as our Sick Bay is unable to cope
with the large volume of people requiring changes of clothing.
THANK YOU
PARENT REMINDERS LATE PASSES If your child is late to school they must sign in at the office to receive a late pass to give to their teacher.
EARLY LEAVERS If you need to collect your child before the end of school, please do not go straight to the classroom. They must be signed out at the office, then you will be given an Early Leavers pass to give to the teacher.
