AB 2060 Supervised Population• The purpose of the Supervised Population Program is to provide services to

probationers who are on Mandatory Supervision with: career guidance, training, and job placement assistance that will lead them to sustainable wages.

LEAP Program

• The purpose of the LEAP 2 program is to provide incarcerated individuals referred by Tulare County Sheriff’s Department with job readiness workshops and services via a fully equipped Specialized Mobile American Job Center (AJC) within the correctional facilities.

• LEAP participants will transition to post-release services at the Employment Connection One-Stop Centers.

The program begin as part of Sheriff Boudreaux and Chief Myer as part of AB 109. Was expanded to include community partners through the Supervised Population Funding. The Avenues to Success team determines which classes the inmate would benefit from, the recommendation of the team is presented to the inmate.

Employment Connection - AJCC• Customized Program Design

• Three full-time dedicated Career Coaches and three Business Resource Specialists

• Participants are co-enrolled into WIOA Services

• Co-case managed by RESET Probation Officers

• Career Coaches provide an overview of Employment Connection services and assist with the completion of the WIOA application and assessment process

• Career Coaches provide career exploration and planning

• Participants have access to resource room, attend workshops, job squad, supportive services, (bus passes, food vouchers, clothing vouchers, school supplies) and referrals to other community services agencies

• Non-WIOA Supportive Services that include housing and energy assistance, and income tax preparation that CSET directly provides to participants
