– Does the evidence on the pro/con side seem stronger, more valid, or more convincing to you?

– Is each side equally supported? Is the evidence on one side more powerful or convincing to you?

Warm-up discussion (5 minutes)• Find a partner who has the same perspective of

the issue as you.

• Take 2 minutes to discuss why you believe the way you do

• Now, find a partner that believe the opposite as you.

• Take 3 minutes to discuss what you believe and why. Then, try to convince your partner to flip sides/change their mind using evidence from the text. (Pick your most convincing piece of evidence!)
