The BCCC and PCC congregations will be joining together for a special Sunday service next week on December 5th, 2010 at 10:00am. Join us as we raise up prayer that is united, Bible based, faith-filled, and being used by God to shift our community!

Don’t miss the opportunity to celebrate this Christ-mas season with the BCCC family! It will be a pot-luck dinner with ham as the main course. The cost is $5 per person and $20 per family. Feel free to invite your friends and neighbours to this event as they will eat for FREE!

Dec. 4th 4:30-8:00pm We would like to extend a big thanks to all who

helped out with the clothing giveaway at Bear Creek School. It was a good turn out and many families were blessed. There are over 300 families connected to this school and God has opened a door for us to build a relationship with them. Please pray for God to direct us in this new rela-tionship so that we can continue to be a blessing to this school.

Ron Hammell has a good friend who owns a beautiful antique piano and is looking for a temporary home for it. If you are interested, please speak with Ron after the service.

The Mexico Missions trip will be in March 18-28th and there is still a lot to be done! Now’s the time to sign up if you are interested in participating. For more information, please check the insert of this bulletin.

Becky Hewitt She has been experiencing some physical pain in her right foot for a few months now and as of yet, there hasn’t been any answers as to what is the cause of it. Additionally, she has pulled the muscles in her right shoulder and is experiencing sharp pain on and off. Pray for healing and wisdom for her doctor as they try to diagnose these ailments.

Dave Schindel he is a friend of the Ris family. Pray for him as he battles a stage four malignant brain tumor. He is pursuing treatment in order to have more time to spend with his family. Pray for healing and peace over him and his family as they deal with this.

Pray for those travelling during the Christmas season as the roads will become more dangerous this next month. Pray for safety and for drivers to be careful on the roads.

Pray for the University/College students that you know as they deal with deadlines, major papers, and exams.

Christmas is a time when people may be especially open to coming to church. Be in prayer about who you should invite to the upcoming BCCC Christmas Banquet and Christmas Eve Service.

Suggestions for a Rule of Life 1) How do I outwork this rule for myself personally?

2) How would this rule be outworked by a group or a small community?

You are to make it a point of honor to seek a quiet, balanced, "rhythmic" life. This should be your primary ambition, allowing "your gentleness to be apparent to all". Your quietness will come from times of silence and labor, solitude and community, private prayer and public prayer, contemplation and petition, divine reading and dialogue. You must not leave undone the things that you ought to do, according to your specific place in life. Nor should you be involved in the things you ought not. Be satisfied with what you have rather than coveting the latest fad or fancy. You must choose your in-volvements wisely, to avoid overwork, over commitment, and personal turbulence. Qui-etness in every aspect of life must be your goal.

Rest is important and must be taken .. regularly. But you must likewise be producing something fruitful and worthwhile, tangible and beneficial with your life. Don't be ab-stract. Don't be ethereal. Be prudent and pragmatic. Have something concrete to show for the work of your hands, the sweat of your brow and the exercise of your creativity. No one who already has enough for themselves and their family, but who can continue to make money to do good to others, has a right to retire from business and to live in idleness. Likewise, if you have no need to add to what you have for your own temporal comfort, it should be seen as a privilege for you to apply yourself in promoting works for public and community benefit.

In both public and in private, you shall conduct yourself appropriately, becomingly and honorably. Your life must be one of integrity: that is, the holistic nature of the fruit of the Spirit should be increasingly evident in your life. Your words and your actions must be consistent and trustworthy. Consistent, as in the nature of Christ .. And consistent, in that they be safe and predictable. Your actions must be kind and courteous, meek and gen-tle, respectful and joyful.

Treat all people you have dealings with, whether they be your spouse, your children, your family, your brethren or an outsider, in such a way as they were having an en-counter with Christ Himself. Treat all people in the same you would have them treat you. Be concerned first with the log in your own eye rather than looking for splinters in others.

If you live according to this rule, you will develop favor in your dealings with people and a competency in your overall life that will see you able to provide for yourself and your family, to be generous on every occasion, to have "seed to sow and bread for food". Let every outsider see that it is to their genuine benefit to have dealings with you, trusting that only good can come from their contact with you.
