Homepage Takeover is a custom Domain interactive display ad unit, and conforms to the Domain home page styling. Featuring high impact imagery, stand out above-the-fold branding and a prominent call-to-action, owning the homepage is a unique way to showcase your project.

Images must meet a high standard in terms of quality (high resolution) and composition and are subject to approval by the Domain Product team. Text is not permitted in the image. We strongly advise sending images for approval at least 5 business days prior to confirmation of booking.

The ‘hero’ image dimensions are 1440px wide x 859px high. We advise sending multiple images so our product team can determine which one works best.

A few factors to consider when selecting images are:

Does it showcase the strongest features of the development?

Will the Domain search box be positioned over any key features in the image?

Is the image high resolution? If not the quality will significantly degrade as it’s scaled up for larger monitors.

In most cases it’s necessary to have a gradient over the bottom edge of the image to increase readability of the text. We’ve provided a Photoshop template with the gradient, so you just need to add your image to the Photoshop file (PSD). Layers should be retained in the PSD in case we need to make any adjustments to the gradient.

Your image will scale depending on the user’s browser dimensions, which means the edges may not always be viewable. To see how this works, open our homepage and resize your browser window.

Max width is 200px. Max height is 100px. The logo will look much better if it’s on a transparent background. If not then there should be some margin between the logo and the edge of the background.

The button is optional, but highly recommended. Text will be styled by Domain. Again, we recommend making the call to action a verb, keeping it short and to the point.

KEY MESSAGE

Consider your key message and deliver it in a short, punchy manner. There is a variable character limit which is determined by your logo size and button text.
