Deuteronomy 6 Sunday School
Transcript of Deuteronomy 6 Sunday School
Deuteronomy 6:4-7Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way
and when you lie down and when you rise up.
The Hebrews were extremely successful at making religion an integral part of life. The reason for their success was that religious education was life-oriented, not information-oriented. They used the context of daily life to teach about God. If you want your children to follow God, you must make God a part of your everyday life. You must teach your children to see God in all aspects of life, not just those that are Church or Sunday School related.
Getting ready for September 21
Sunday School Classes will resume on September 21. There is a class for
everyone. Come visit the Second Reformed
Church and stay for Sunday School.
Our Deacon’s Carl Van Camp and Tom De Young have been working hard all summer long to organize, clean, repair and paint
the educational building for our up coming Sunday School season. Each of the teacher’s were able to pick the paint colors for their
room. We have some bright colors! There is still much work to be done, but SO much has been done already. Take a look at some of
the changes.
All the walls have been painted in the main meeting room. They look great!
There will be more pictures to come as we gear up in the next
few weeks.
