Two fun-filled days with our favorite Entomologist, Mike Eskelson! This workshop

is designed to introduce youth to the world of entomology, insects, spiders and their kin. Youth will learn

about the taxonomy and morphology of insects, they will learn how to identify Insects to order, as well as

collect, pin and preserve insects. Fee includes wood insect display box (no glass cover) and insect pinning

supplies. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch. Fee for the class is $25, includes insect display box and

insect pinning supplies.

2020 4-H Summer Workshops Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will be following the health guidelines issued

by our Governor and the Health District. If we need to cancel, we will be

offering kits that you can pick up at your local Extension Office.

you to use or if you have something in particular

you want, you can bring it. Learn the art of mar-

bling on a silk scarf.

Learn the basics of cake decorating with Bonnie

Willey-Husmann. You’ll learn to prepare frosting

and proper techniques for application. Each

participant will need to bring 8 cupcakes to the

workshop for decorating. If you have a cake

decorating kit please bring it.

ADVANCED CAKE DECORATING

DATE: Tuesday, June 23

TIME: 12 pm to 2 pm

Learn how to make flowers and other

advanced cake decorating skills with Bonnie Willey-

Husmann. Each participant will need to bring 8 cupcakes

to the workshop for decorating. If you have a cake deco-

rating kit please bring it. Supplies for making flowers will

be provided.

SIMPLY SEWING

Learn and practice simple sew-ing and pressing techniques while creating a 4-H Fabric Basket. Space is limited.

CREATIVE BAKING

Experiment with common over the counter mixes

and add new ingredients and a new baking option

to create a wonderful product.

If you love mason jars, you’ll want to check out this workshop!! Whatever you collect , whatever your hobby, this

is a great way to personalize a lamp. Bring a set of needle nose pliers and a flat head screw driver. Parents are

welcome to stay and help. Space is limited.

garden complete with actual living plants and struc-

tures. Help lure fairies into you
