Game Title Destiny
Provide detailed descriptions from chosen examples that establish… Clearly state what production technique(s) you think have been used to create specific soundtrack elements
Setting
There are multiple settings but it is mostly set on a planet where the players are on foot and they are firing their guns at the enemy.
The sound of gunfire fills the air and the essence of war is upon the player. The gun fire is probably created by somebody firing a gun then recording it. Also the noise that is created when they are on their vehicles is most probably done by recording a fan or a just of wind alongside an engine and then editing it to get the desired effect.
Mood
The mood is very serious because if they make one wrong move they are goners but at the same time you get the feeling that they are having fun with what they are doing and can see the lighter side of the situation.
The scene has a man reading a story to his son/grandson over the top of the action that is happening and he is telling the story of the jungle which has a lot of relevance to what is happening in the scene. Also this makes the scene seem very serious because it is a life lesson in a story. I think that the voiceover is a nice touch to it and it has a real impact on the listener.
Game genre
Action-Roleplaying, First Person Shooter.
As you would expect in an action game there is a lot of gunfire and other combat noises happening all around the player but it also fits the roleplaying part to because it has a magical feel around it and sounds to support that.
Narrative
Destiny is set seven hundred years into the future in a post-apocalyptic setting following a prosperous period of exploration, peace and technological advancement known as the Golden Age. In a universe where humans have spread out and colonized planets in the Solar System, an event known as "the Collapse" saw the mysterious dissolution of these colonies, the end of the Golden Age, and mankind teetering on the brink of extinction. The only known survivors of the Collapse are
Throughout the whole scene there is a voiceover actor who is telling a bedtime story to a child and he is telling him a story with a meaning built into it. This meaning means quite a lot and fits in well with the story. I think that they created the voiceover by recoding a man in a controlled

those living on Earth, who were saved by "the Traveller", a white, spherical celestial body whose appearance centuries before had enabled humans to reach the stars. The Traveller now hovers above the last remaining human city, and its presence allows the "Guardians of the City" the last defenders of the human race the ability to wield an unknown power, only referred to as "The Light". Upon mankind's first attempt to repopulate and reconstruct after the Collapse, it is discovered that hostile alien races have occupied mankind's former colonies and civilizations and are now encroaching upon the City. The player takes on the role of a Guardian of the City, and is tasked with investigating and destroying these threats before humanity is completely wiped out.
