Classes are running all February vacation week at Tower Hill Botanic Garden in West Boylston MA.Activities include:

Garden Discovery: Come discover who is out and about as we look for tracks and signs of the secretactivity that continues even through the cold of winter.

Winter Tracking Walk: Wander thegardens and trails looking for animal tracks.

Happy Valentines Day Mother Nature:Make homemade valentines for feathered friends, including anesting ball and bird feeder. Create a card from natural objects to give to a special someone, thenmake and enjoy a Valentines Day snack.

Let Worms Eat Your Garbage:Dont throw away your kitchen scraps, mushy fruit and stale bread!Take advantage of natures recyclers to turn your waste into food for your houseplants or garden.Observe worms in action and take home your very own mini worm farm.

Make a mini terrarium:Plant a beautiful easy to care for mini-garden in your choice of an open-topped or closed glass container. Bring it home to brighten up any room in your house! Suitable forages 6 and up.

Winter Moonlight Walk:The crisp night air will redden your cheeks and quicken your step on thenight of the Winter Moonlight Walk. So bundle up and come out towalk in the light of Februarys(almost) full moon.

Feb. 13: Daniel Tigers Neighborhood Live!

Hanover Theatre, Worcester MA

The legacy of the beloved Mister Rogers lives on with the hit television series, Daniel TigersNeighborhood, from The Fred Rogers Company and airing daily on PBS KIDS. Donning his iconic redsweater, Daniel takes the audience on an interactive musical adventure as he and his friends explorethe vibrant world of their much-loved Neighborhood of Make-Believe, sharing stories of friendship,helping others and celebrating new experiences.

Feb. 15-19: February Vacation Programs atthe JCCWorcester JCC, Worcester MA

Activities throughout the week for ages 3 up to 7th grade. For 3-5 year olds, from 9 AM 1 PM kidscan enjoy activities like pirate fun, planetarium sky lab star gazing, swimming in the pool followedby acookout, crafts andstory time.Extended hours available.

For school age kids: sports programs, swimming, summer camp activities, swim clinics, and more.

Feb. 16-19: Lights, Camera, Art!

Worcester Art Museum, Worcester MA

Schools out, Arts in!In this workshop, childrenexplore new sights and sounds as we spotlight worldlytextiles, photography, and printmaking.

All workshops include a visit around the museum gallery and interaction with professional artistsand educators.

Details: Ages 3 5 $20 for members, $25 non-members. Must pre-register. Materials provided.Morning and afternoon sessions. $2 for lunch per session.

Snowshoeing is a great winteractivity that provides good exercise and a chance to explore the great outdoors during a beautifulseason. Its easy and inexpensive and great for kids. Snowshoes are available 9 AM 3:30 PM TuesSat. Rates are $2/hr for members and $4/hr for non-members.

Feb. 16 19: Winter Vacation Frozen ForestEcotarium Science Museum, Worcester MA

Explore the chilly world within the frozen forest during February vacation week! We will investigatehow animals survive winter and explore the science of snow. Venture out with us and learn firsthand how humans have adapted to winter weather throughout history.

Programs include:

Whos Been Here? Tracks in The Snow: A winter exploration to search for animal tracksaround themuseum grounds. Meet a live animal and learn how they survive in the winter.

Snowflake Investigations: Ever wonder how snowflakes are formed? Are they are really unique?

Also check out the running exhibit: Electricity.This classic exhibit brings science and the history ofelectricity to life through interactive activities.

Feb. 15 19:Songwriting Intensive/Workshop (all ages)

Worcester Music Academy, Worcester MA

Sign up for a week of songwriting training! Students of all ages will collaborate throughout the weekand explore the principles of writing original music with an emphasis placed on song structure,rhyming format, rhythm design, music theory, chord patterns, etc. Students will perform theirwritten songs from the week at Nu Cafes Open Mic Night that following Saturday, as well as recordan audio CD! So bring your guitar, ukulele, voice, and/or piano skills andreserve your spot in theclass today! 1 week sessions offered during February vacation week.

Feb. 17: Goosebumps Movie
