Charlotte Baggaley is now

reading Law at Liverpool University.

Charlotte achieved the following A levels: Grade A in History, Grade A in RE and Grade A in English Literature.

At College@Deyes we work to ensure that our students have every opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in both an academic and a social setting.

This provides them with a chance to mix with students studying other combinations of subjects, to work within a variety of teams and to further develop the skills and confidence required in adult life.

Timetabled enrichment courses provide opportunities for students to gain experience in alternative areas beyond the taught curriculum.

In recent years these have included activities such as, working with primary children, embarking on industry standard qualifications and professional work placements.

Developing into young professionals

Sophie Wells is now reading Medicine at Liverpool University. Sophie achieved the following qualifications: Grade A in Biology, Grade A in Chemistry and Grade A in Geography.

“Having the opportunity to further my educationoutside of the academic curriculum is somethingI have found very beneficial about enrichment. In Year 12 I used my Wednesday afternoons tocomplete work placements at Aintree Hospital. This enabled me to gain a place at Liverpool University. Along with my commitment to my studies this was a major factor in my successful application into Medicine.”

Careers GuidanceWe have a specialist careers team who assist in researching next steps and making the right choices for the future. They provide students with information about university entrance, gap years, access to work placements and employment.

Study SupportWe offer individual help and support with planning and time management, extended projects and coursework requirements.

College BursaryThe College Bursary is designed to provide assistance to students who are experiencing difficulty in accessing or completing their course.

Funds can be provided to help towards travel, resources, books, equipment and materials.

Eligibility is assessed on parental income.

Stretch & challengeAt College@Deyes, we are keen to ensure that every student rises to their full potential.

We have the expertise, facilities and experience in supporting applications to the top universities, including Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities.

Mr Heywood gave Callum support with his personal statement and also conducted mock interviews.

Callum attended the Haydock Oxbridge conference and the Oxbridge ‘personal statement and interview’ day. Callum also attended the Oxbridge one day residential to get a flavour of what each college had to offer.

applicants including visits, presentations, workshops and interview support.

On FootThe College is located 0.7 miles from Maghull town centre on Deyes Lane. Deyes Lane can be reached from Maghull town centre via Westway, Eastway, and Hunt Road or Liverpool Road North then Damfield Lane.
